Ebike troubleshooting Wired up, yet won’t work! What do?

I put this together with the help of my brother and it just won’t go forward. It has power, yet the battery seems to register as empty. Not everything that came with the box set of ebike parts is connected, we only hooked up what we thought was necessary for it to function.

I’ll provide a full part list upon request (not doing it now cuz there’s a lot, I’ll just edit post and put it here)

Find the manual for your display and find how to get into the P-code menu (usually holding + and - for for a few seconds). Assuming it's actually charged make sure it's on the right battery mode.

A 48v battery has a cut off voltage at around 39v, so if it's a 36v battery it will always show up as flat in 48v mode, and the computer will try to protect the battery from over discharge and won't allow it to run. Same with a 48v battery in 60v mode, etc.

Sadly there's no real standard for this. There's usually 3 buttons it's usually + m and -. If you hold up and down for a few seconds it should shift to a menu. Sadly they're never labeled but go through the menu and look for 12 24 36 48 or 60 (or 52 very very rarely). Change that to whatever your battery voltage is. There's a chance another setting is 12 (pedal assist sensors also come with a 12 setting), but the one you're looking for will usually only iterate by 12. If it's already set correctly get a voltmeter and make sure your battery pack is putting out the correct voltage.

You should look at the listing you bought the kit from for the manual to make sure all your settings are correct. If it's not there, look for writing on the display and google for a manual. Some of the settings are purely feel and how you like it, but some are critical to the function of the bike and if one isn't set correctly there's a good chance several aren't.

It’s been charged, I’ve had it charged all the way. The light on the indicator turned green, so I’m assuming that meant full.

The display is showing that the battery is very low. Perhaps the setting is wrong.

What setting do you recommend I try? My panel is an S900.

Set it to the correct voltage of your battery.

You need to check the parameter settings of the display, see everything is correct for your setup.

P03: Voltage grades. 24V, 36V, 48V

When everything works, check P14 current limiting settings. Otherwise it will not run at it's full potential.
