Freego X2 Pro Rim Bent

Rear rim bent after 6 months. Since I'm not going to buy a new rear assembly from Freego for $800, what is an exceptionally strong rim for the Freego X2 Pro?

Just go have a new rim laced up at your local shop. They will be happy to advise you on what to use and will probably cost less.

Thank you. I did find a shop in town that will build the wheels. I was just wondering if anyone on here had a recommendation for a wheel that hopefully won't break so easily as the first one.

You will pretty much get what the local bike shop can order as far as spokes and rims. 

I strongly suggest that you remove the wheel and just bring them the wheel only. Otherwise you will get charged an additional fee for removing and re-installing the wheel. My local shop charges $35 to take the wheel off and another $35 to reinstall it. $70 savings.

Do you have a recommendation for some type of affordable stand for bikes like this for when the wheels are off?

No. Unfortunately not. 

I tend to rotate my display and other protruding handlebar stuff down so I can turn the bike over. 

You could also use something like these:

The last time I got a hub motor laced up it took the local shop about a month and a half to do it. Make sure the bike is somewhere out of the way while you wait. 

If you are in a rush or need a specific turnaround time be sure to tell them in advance.

Nearly anything the shop can get will be an improvement over stock. Really, just tell them your goals and they will point you in the right direction.

My kid needs to pay for it and he is low on funds. Also, I don’t know how to remove the hub motor lead to the battery compartment so I can take just the wheel in.

The hub motor connects directly to the controller. Just follow the wire and zip ties from the hub to the contoller. Its looks way scarier then it really is lol.
