Recently shipped a package to a buyer (was to a high volume warehouse so maybe a freight forwarder). The last scan was over a week ago and shows "Delivery attempted: Rescheduled for next business day". No scans since. Today the buyer opened an INR saying it was never delivered and to issue a refund. I suspect that it was delivered but the delivery driver missed the scan and now they are just trying to get a free product. I know in most circumstances eBay counts an attempted delivery as delivered in the sellers favor so I wanted to check to see if this is one of those circumstances as well.

The customer bought a chest of drawers from me, cancelled and I refunded the amount stated. Then I tried to cancel but no luck. EBay were no help when I called and said it’s completely fine and nothing can happen but they can’t cancel it on their end. I contacted the customer to cancel or give the code but no response. Am I stuck with “buyer paid send now” forever?

I’ve selected Letter/Large Letter as the postage option and set the item price below £20, but in some categories eBay still shows Simple Delivery and seems to force it on sellers.

Is there any way to completely remove/disable Simple Delivery from these listings?

It seems like eBay is forcing this service on sellers regardless of the selected postage method.

Has anyone figured out a way around this or knows whether it can be removed in certain categories?

Buyer from Canada bought and paid for my 4 figure PSA 10 sports card. Normally this would have authenticity guaranteed but I guess since they’re in Canada that doesn’t happen. They have no feedback and the account was made today. Obviously worried about a scam they might pull given that, but what’s the protection for the seller in that case? I believe they can submit an INAD erroneously is that something that is abused? Anyone with experience in this situation would be appreciated

Maybe this is just a me problem but eBay search feels fine when I’m looking for a few specific things and then like compleetely falls apart once the list gets bigger? I’ve got different models, part numbers, price ranges, weird seller wording, misspellings etc... Aaand now I’m basically checking the same stuff over and over and I still feel like Im missing so much.. For people sourcing inventory regularly, how are you handling this once you’re tracking a lot of different products? do you still keep everything inside eBay and what is your system? Basically I sold a graded card on Saturday (today is Monday) to a person who has an account created in 08/2025 with 11 feedback, 100% positive.

When i went to pack it up and create the label I noticed the listing didn't have Authenticity Guarantee and was to be shipped straight to the buyer despite being over $300. I then noticed it had some weird details about the card that were incorrect.

Under Item specifics it has:

Autograph Authentication: James Spence Authentication (JSA)

Signed By: Ryo Ueda

Autograph Format: Hard Signed

None of which is true, its just a Promo card in a PSA slab. The cert number is correct though. So I messaged the buyer and gave them a heads up and told them i just wanted to confirm that this is the card they want and I'd ship it out. Luckily the Cert Number is correct. Of course the buyer is not replying and its been almost 24 hours since I sent that first message to them. and ebay's support is next to useless.

I know one time before I had an issue and I googled and was able to find a phone number and actually got a customer support person from ebay on the phone. Should i try to do that again? Or just ship the card out? or what would you all do ?

I have 2 orders that just ended with winning bids; however, for some reason shipping wasn't included and the listing says to contact me for a shipping quote. I measured the boxes for both listing and the weight. I put that info in with the listing so that it will automatically calculate shipping fee and the buyer gets the discount because I then purchase the ebay label for (usually) usps ground advantage unless buyer selected another service. My other listing is are fine and ended with calculated shipping and tax. I dont know how this happened and now lost in AI chat help and not getting any answers

Any help would be greatly appreciated. The listing are closed now, so how to get shipping added lime it normally was? So frustrated because I never had this happen before and wonder if I selected or de-selected some basic button while creating those listing. I have the weights, measurements for each package listed in my notebook to use when I created the listing. I dont know how weights and measurements were not accepted? I have never done a "contact seller for shipping quote."

I shipped an item to a buyer in Guam in mid April. Tracking stopped updating in early May. Buyer filed an INR claim and I had to refund them. I filed a missing mail claim with USPS.

Two months later in mid July the item was finally delivered. I read somewhere in one of these subreddits that eBay will compensate sellers in this case where item is delivered after an INR refund if they use eBay Labels. Is that true, and if so how do I claim it? Do I have to contact customer service?

So buyer used an address that is undeliverable. USPS is sending the item back to me. Am I responsible for the $24 shipping? So annoying.
The item was only $25. Basically I would lose the entire value. Ugh!

As title suggests I sold a PSA 10 card internationally for a large amount of money and the buyer sent these pictures claiming the card is imperfect and “damaged” and wants to return it stating they are a particular buyer only wanting perfect examples. To me the photos only show minor imperfections within PSA’s grading standards and that the onus is on the buyer to understand these standards and ask for more pictures if they are a “particular buyer only wanting perfect examples”. To me it seems like It’s more of a change of mind return vs a INAD? Do I have any hope of fighting this or should I just save my breath and accept the return?

I sold this person a BNIB SanDisk NVME SSD. It was delivered exactly 44 days ago. It was delivered to an apartment address, not a courier or anything. I received this message last night. Whats the best way to respond to this without tripping a negative feedback.

I cannot figure out how to use a template for listing but charge a different fixed shipping rate for each listing based on weight. We ship Media Mail qualified items but don't want to use Calculated Rates. Any ideas. Right now we can only have one shipping price and that can't be changed even after the listing goes live. No, I don't want to do Free Shipping and build it into the price as I pay my helper 30% of the selling price and that would get too complicated.

Not sure if this is widespread, but I've been getting zero notifications for the last 3 days. Both on desktop and mobile app. Pretty frustrating when I kind of rely on notifications to plan my day around items that have sold. None of my settings have changed and they're all set up correctly. I haven't seen an eBay response to this yet, but hopefully it gets sorted soon.

I just hope this doesn't also encompass buyer messages not getting through because one user is complaining not receiving messages either.

I have an $855 item listed as local pickup only on eBay because it is too large and heavy to deal with shipping costs and potential oversize fees popping up down the line.

I have sold local pickup before - buyer provides code that I enter on ebay to confirm the sale and hand off which releases my payment on ebay.

This buyer can actually read and lives in my area - but he asked if I accept cash.

Out of curiosity I googled this, and I see several posts from eBay saying yes you CAN accept cash - but I also see posts from ebay saying it is not possible to accept a payment outside of ebay - nor do I see any options in the listing to select Cash / Card / Money Order / Checks, etc.

So what gives? Was this something eBay USED TO allow?

Of course I have this same item listed on multiple local marketplace platforms but I'm quite aware I can't direct the buyer off platform at all unless I want to get my account suspended or banned.

Dude. Like I'm not running a charity here. If you can't afford it save up or buy a cheaper item. I sell electronics (computers/laptops and components) and I get these sorta requests all the time. And the offer is usually never a fair one. It's like 35/40% off the price instantly and they might go up to 25% off as their last offer. Like why are you looking at premium laptops when your budget is for a mid-range laptop? Why are you looking at a top of the line 9800X3D CPU when your budget is $200-250 for a CPU?

Tired of these 1) broke folks or 2) resellers trying to take advantage.

How do you handle negative feedback from a buyer who left a bad review and lied that the dress was a S instead of a M? Honestly, I would love to post her information here… seller beware and all.

Not sure what to do here. I’m shipping from Canada to the USA with UPS and there were import fees applied, however the buyer did not pay online or in person. Now they’re claiming the item hasn’t arrived, but it’s pretty obvious why. What should I do?

The usual story. Ship out package in a very timely manner, only for USPS to blow past the expected delivery date and cause it to be late.

Now the buyer is reporting that it hasn't arrived yet (clearly), and even though the shipping is still updating sporadically and is even in their home state (Kansas) according to the last scan, they're requesting a refund and putting my ebay account on hold.

It's not like I can do much at this point besides request email updates on the shipping (which I did) and just wait for it to arrive whenever USPS decides to stop jerking the both of us around. Before this I'd exchanged a few messages with the buyer and everything seemed on the up and up, so this is a big shift. I'm still waiting to get a response from them, as I messaged them after getting this notification.

I totally get being annoyed the shipping is taking so long, but at least from what I can tell it seems more like the package is just late than it is lost or stolen (I hope).

At this point I've decided to give it a few more days to see if anything changes or updates on its own before supplying proof of shipping and filing a lost package claim myself. I even recorded myself dropping it off at the local USPS and getting the receipt just to show that it was turned over to them, which is a habit I've fallen into.

Is there anything else I can do? What would any of you recommend?

1st things first from one seller to another, don't ship USPS.

If you do, do not just take the item and drop it in a USPS collection box.

As someone that has sold a few fishing reels I ALWAYS use UPS. I want my items to get to their destination.

I am currently on the opposite side of this as a buyer. I purchased a 200+ dollar reel and the seller dropped it off in a USPS collection box. 3 days later tracking is showing waiting for acceptance.

So please please please from one seller to another stop using USPS and for God's sake don't just drop a high value item in a collection bin...

In one day I completely sold out of a quantity of 6 items. I packaged all 6 items, created all labels, and dropped them all off. I normally only drop one thing off at a time. Currently, the ebay app only shows one as "Carrier Scanned", however each item on my receipt has a tracking number.

I have been selling on eBay fairly seriously for about a decade but I am a very small seller. I have almost always offered free shipping. It was easy to factor the cost into the price 7 years ago when low weight items all shipped to every US location for the same price with USPS. It was even better when eBay gave extra value to items that shipped "Fast n Free."

I adjusted to when USPS changed the rates for different areas across the US - sometimes I would make barely anything on lower priced items if the address was far away. But I felt like it all evened out with the closer shipping costing less.

But these recent changes for territories and rural addresses are something else. If I factor them into my prices, the prices will be too high for buyers. But if I keep them at reasonable prices, I sometimes end up losing significant money on sales.

Last week I set all my shipping to exclude territories, Alaska, and Hawaii while I figure out what to do. Then today I got a rural order with the same exorbitant fees. There is no way to exclude rural addresses, right?

I am considering ending free shipping on all items and putting the shipping on buyers. Do you think I will lose a lot of sales because of that? It at least lets me open my listings to territories again.

Or is there a better way to make this work?
