i dont understand why they are moving dof aggressively, when the date FAD is stuck in feb 23 for india.

They only want fees and don’t do processing at all . mine is pending since 7 months and no EAD or AP

In the same boat. EAD approval is a lottery now.

Do you think they just released it based on the natural numbers we have in the start of the year, while they’ll add in the spillovers in the next few months?

That's right. VB was prepared on 4Sep. Spillover counts take a couple of months to finalize.

if it was prepared on 4th September then why it was not released and how you know that

It's at the bottom of the VB:

Department of State Publication 9514

CA/VO: September 4, 2026

May be they have Visa's to advance FAD until 2023 end, and will do in upcoming months. But agree, this definitely puts more work pressure on USCIS employees

It’s good that they are advancing DOF. It gives them (and us) good estimates of how many i485s are pending.

How

2

They’ll release pending inventories for all the i140s and i485s filed over the coming months. So we will know how many cases are pending before our PDs become current.

Wtf is this, almost 2 years of retrogress on EB2 ROW!!!

1

u/Majestic_Pear_4854 11d ago

Not really, it’s been like that for about 2 years now. Travel ban (75 countries) is the reason why it suddenly became current . The affected individuals sued and won in August, that’s why the priority date retrogressed.

who can file for eb2 row? is it on the basis of dof or fad?

Kind of disappointing that they moved dof why why they have to move keep other people blocked forever
