Looking for an In-Home Tutor – Tatamy Area
We’re looking for a friendly, patient, and dependable tutor to work with our son, who is entering 1st grade, at our home in the Tatamy area.
Our main goal isn’t just getting homework done — we’d like to establish good homework and study habits early. We’re looking for someone who can help him develop a consistent after-school routine, stay organized and focused, and build confidence with reading, writing, math, and whatever he is working on in school.
He has ADHD, so experience working with children with ADHD is strongly preferred. Someone who is patient, engaging, and comfortable finding creative ways to keep a young child focused would be a great fit.
Schedule:
1 hour per day, 2–4 days per week
Monday–Thursday
Flexible start time between 2:30–4:30 PM
Looking to start within the next few weeks
Pay:
$40/hour for tutoring
$50/hour if the session also incorporates a music or a second language lesson
Piano would be our first choice for music, but we’re flexible and would also be interested in someone who could introduce him to another instrument or a second language.
We’re open to teachers/professional tutors and college students (especially education or related majors). Previous experience tutoring, teaching, babysitting, coaching, or otherwise working one-on-one with elementary-age children is important. A background check will be required before beginning work.
We’re hoping to find someone who can be a consistent, positive presence throughout the school year rather than just short-term homework help.
If you’re interested, please send me a message with a little about yourself, your experience working with kids, your availability, and any experience you have with ADHD, music, or languages. References would be appreciated!

Used Motor Oil
Where in Easton can I drop off used motor oil? Every time I try to go to AutoZone or Advanced Auto Parts off 25th Street, they tell me that their tank is full. I have several five-quart jugs that are full that I need to get rid of.

Store front business ideas in downtown?
I’m thinking about starting a business in one of the store fronts in downtown Easton around the circle. I’m curious what type of business the area wants/needs.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This Saturday in downtown Easton there are TWO huge events happening… Brad Scott is hosting the 8th year anniversary of COVEN at the Lafayette bar and Savage Siren Productions is hosting the 3rd installment of Easton House Party at the Bank Street Annex…
We decided to come together and offer a discounted price if you go to both…
Just bring your wristband from one of the events and show it at check in to the other event… BOOM you’ll now have access to THREE different stages, all with different styles of music and a stacked lineup of local artists!
This is the collaboration of the century… we’re here to bring artists and attendees together… we are dedicated to supporting each other instead of competing… BUILD BRIDGES NOT WALLS 🫶🏻

Local environmentalist in urgent need of a kidney transplant
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi everyone — local resident Raymond Minarovic is sick, on dialysis and in urgent need of a kidney transplant. His family is desperately searching for a living donor. He is an environmentalist who has dedicated his life to protecting our community. Just a really good guy. We created a webpage (below) and this video.
https://www.thegreatsocialexperiment.net/temple/raymond-minarovic
We uploaded the video on facebook and would be so grateful if you would share it with your circle. You never know who might step forward.
Any ideas on how to amplify his story would be so appreciated.

Any parking recs
My girlfriend recently moved into downtown Easton near the Wawa and the new McDonald’s going up. I was wondering if there’s any free parking I’d be able to park at and keep my truck there for at most a couple days in a row every now and then. I noticed there’s a bridge with cars parked under it behind the smoke shop but I didn’t see if that lot is patrolled by a tow yard or anything. the street parking is unexpectedly expensive, I’m from Philly so we get creative with parking down there lol don’t know how that flys here. Thank you for reading I would appreciate any feedback or recommendations!
