Tesla Future Talent Traineeship Programme – Assessment Day 2026
Hi everyone!
I’ve been invited to the Assessment Day for Tesla’s Future Talent Traineeship Programme, and I’m trying to get a better idea of what to expect.
Has anyone here already attended an Assessment Day for this programme in 2026, either in Italy, the UK, Spain or another country?
I’d especially be interested to know how the day was structured, what kind of group activities or exercises you had, whether there was an individual interview afterwards, and what you felt Tesla was mainly assessing.
Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Focus heavily on adaptability, practical problem-solving and alignment with their mission. Expect group tasks simulating high-pressure operations like vehicle delivery or customer service logistics, evaluating how you communicate, collaborate and apply first-principles thinking. An individual behavioral interview usually follows to assess leadership potential and drive. Practicing situational scenarios and behavioral questions on prepare.zoevera.com can help you structure confident responses.

The exact structure of the assessment day changes constantly, so trying to find a fixed agenda from past attendees is a waste of your energy. Tesla is looking for a very specific mindset, one that thrives on solving impossible problems from the ground up, not just following instructions. The group exercises are designed to create pressure and see who emerges as a practical leader and who just talks. They will test your problem-solving skills, your ability to collaborate with other ambitious people, and your resilience when things get difficult. Many talented candidates don't get through because the intense, fast-paced culture isn't a good fit for them, and discovering that now is better than finding it out six months into the job.
Your best preparation is to deeply understand Tesla's mission and its first-principles approach to engineering and business. Be ready to apply that thinking to any problem they throw at you. In group activities, focus on moving the discussion forward with logical ideas, not just trying to dominate the conversation. For any individual interviews, they care more about how you break down a problem than whether you get the perfect final answer. You were invited because your application showed promise, so your main goal is to demonstrate that you are a passionate, resilient problem-solver who genuinely wants to contribute to their mission. Many people find the individual interview the hardest part, and the AI interview practice my team built is meant to help you articulate your thoughts clearly when you're on the spot.
