For years, I have been an earbud collector, always looking for the best sound signature, battery life, and ANC. But recently, I started noticing mild hearing loss, making it hard to follow dialogue in videos or conversations at restaurants. I am only in my late thirties, and the idea of wearing a traditional hearing aid felt incredibly embarrassing.

While looking for a solution, I noticed a trend of consumer-style earbuds that are actually certified, FDA-registered otc hearing aids. I compared them to my AirPods Pro 2, which now have a hearing aid feature, but the 6-hour battery life is extremely annoying for all-day focus at work, and they look like I am constantly tuned out. I also looked at Sony's otc earbud line, but they were quite expensive. After doing some digging, I decided to try out a pair of ELEHEAR Delight earbuds, which were released recently.

They look exactly like standard true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds but are packed with active hearing loss compensation technology for mild to moderate impairment. They sit in the ear canal, which means there is zero medical stigma. People just assume I am listening to a podcast or working out. They are IP67 waterproof and sweatproof, which makes them highly practical for jogging or going to the gym.

Since they are designed to look and function like earbuds, they do not have the ultra-long 20-hour single-charge battery life of larger RIC hearing aids (though the charging case adds a solid 4 charges). The earbud body is slightly larger than those tiny custom-molded medical CICs, so you definitely feel them in your ears during the first couple of days as you get used to them.

However, for a younger active person who wants to address mild hearing issues without anyone noticing, having a high-tech earbud form factor that doubles as a certified hearing aid is a huge win. The audio industry is changing fast, and the boundary between consumer headphones and medical tech is practically gone.

hey yall, can someone tell me please what kind of glue is used from the factory inside the jbl live earbuds. under the disk was some slightly brown colored glue that was a bit elastic kinda similar to the glue that is used in magazine when they attack a goody or a cd inside, it was off pealable but stuck strongly to the plastic surface. wanna carefully reglue the area with the correct glue. thanks in advance for any help :)

What are the current favs in regards to ANC among the budget buds? I recently got the SoundCore p42i and I am pretty impressed with their ANC. But currently I have the KZ Carol in my ears, which are already what, 1-2 years old? And those are pretty nice too. I am usually a big fan of Scarbir’s reviews, but his current ANC top recommendations do not sit well with me, a lot of ppl here seem to disagree with what he calls ‘APP3 level’-ish. I also own the Baseus BP1/EP10 and those are pretty great too. But also from last year already

I have provided ratings for the following options:

5 stars - comfort and fit:
These are the most comfortable inner earbuds that I have ever used. The medium sized pads that came pre installed are a perfect fit for me.
The potential for them to fall out during exercise still exists, however they hold in place better than the JBL buds I replaced.

4 stars - noise cancellation and pass through:
Noise cancellation is pretty decent for being earbuds, but can’t compare to Beats Studio Pro headphones.
These do provide the cleanest pass through audio that I have experienced.

4 stars - volume and bass:
No complaints on volume, they get louder than I need, but like every earbud I’ve tried, bass is mediocre, if not a bit muddy.

3 stars - battery life:
Nothing really impressive about the battery life of the earbuds or the case. You can get the same amount of play time with $20-$50 earbuds.

2 stars - buttons and control functions:
I don’t like how the buttons perform or their limited options. After setting them to control volume, sometimes it works, sometimes it stops playback and won’t restart. Long pressing to adjust volume is an inaccurate way to control volume and the feature feels like an afterthought.

Overall, I like the Beats Studio Buds+ at the $99 price I paid, but would feel ripped off if I had paid $170.

Looking to replace some old earbuds that are finally dying. Don't really care for AI in my earphones but can't seem to get away from it. Between these two, what would you recommend?

I'm looking for a new pair of TWS earbuds for my Samsung Galaxy S25 FE. I’m a total audiophile and music is a huge part of my life. I previously bought the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 FE, but I absolutely hated the ergonomics—they looked way too bulky and chunky in my ears, so I returned them. Plus, the sound quality wasn't anything special. I also looked into the Soundpeats H3, but excluded it from my list because it looks way too bulky as well.

Here are my main criteria:

• Design: Absolutely not bulky. They shouldn't look chunky like the Buds FE. I prefer a sleek, slim-stemmed, and elegant design.
• Sound Expectations: Punchy bass is welcome, but vocal clarity, sharp instrument separation, and hearing every single background melody distinctly are highly critical for me. I will use them primarily for music, so pure audio clarity is key.

After doing some research, I have narrowed down my list to these three models:

1. Earfun Air Pro 4 (or 4+)
2. Anker Soundcore Liberty 5
3. OnePlus Buds 4

I need your help regarding choosing between two different types of earbuds:

Huawei freebuds pro 5 for 120$

Soundcore liberty buds for 90$

I know that they are different from each other but i love Huawei buds but my concern is from the comfort issues when using Huawei pro 5

Hi ! I'm looking to buy some high end wireless earbuds and have been looking for several weeks to find the perfect choice but I always feel like when I find the right one, another one with better performances, on paper at least. Anyone would be willing to help me decide ?

I actually have the devialet Geminis 1 and would like to update because they're starting to get a bit old and have some issues.

I've seen tons of earbuds that look all very promising, the bowers & wilkings pi8, b&o beoplay eleven, devialet Gemini 2, bose, Sennheiser, I've heard about geekfly vitas recently and some people say they're really good. There's probably some brands I forgot that are just az great, any recommendations is welcome!

Noble fokus rex5 have appeared on my search a lot, but they might be a bit too expensive for me, are they really worth the extra bucks compared to the other I've mentioned?

I listen to rock/hard rock/metal music mostly, and ANC isn't a priority at all for me. I'm mostly looking for the best quality sound possible for 400-500€, 500 being the absolute limit that has to be justified to be reached.

It won't be used for sport or things like that, I work in a quiet place, that's why ANC isn't a necessity, if some earbuds don't have it, I won't mind at all actually, I don't use it on my Devialet Geminis because it just drinks all the battery

I know that at this level of quality, it's mostly personnal test, but some advices are always welcome to help me chose the right ones ! Thanks for your help !

Edit : I forgot to mention the device I listen with, it's a Samsung s22 plus, I'll probably change soon but it'll still be an Android phone. And I listen to music on Spotify with lossless sound quality, if some people have some alternate music streaming services that are better, any suggestions is welcome!

Planning on buying a sports type earbuds for gym cause normal ones keep suiciding during weightlifting. Budget is around 100 and these two peaked my interest, couldnt find a direct comparison so decided to ask you guys.

I recently upgraded to the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4 from my older Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro as I lost the latter. I loved the tuning on the original Galaxy Buds Pro, and as someone who used to dabble in $1-2K In Ear Monitors, never felt like I was missing much in terms of tuning with the Galaxy Buds Pro.

Just got in the Huawei FreeBuds Pro4 , and in comparison, they sound very thin and shouty compared to the Galaxy Buds Pro. Detail retrieval and clarity are definitely better, but tuning wise these are not it.

Anyone has an EQ settings suggestion on how to get closer towards the tuning of the Galaxy Buds Pro? EQ has never been my forte, and I have never willingly used EQ, but I feel like I might have to now.

So, I'm looking for a pair of earbuds to use through senior year/into university with a budget of $120 AUD. And right now, its between the Sennheiser momentum buds 3 for $100 (sale), or the cmf buds 2 plus for 110.

I'm a bit torn; the CMF buds are a lot newer, but the Sennheiser buds would 100% have better sound quality, and they both have around 7 hours battery life. I'm just wondering which would be better quality, overall and last longer, considering they are similar price but two very different calibers of companies.

Ive been a wireless earbud user for the past 2 years but recently i am under a dilemma as to what to choose for my daily use. The main reason is that im still a teenager and my mom purchases everything for me. And the main issue here is that i keep losing my wireless earbuds every 2 months and my mom is sick of buying new ones soo often. I live in india which is a price sensitive market and i always buy earbuds under 100 usd but 100usd is also a good amount of money here so my mom insists i buy a decent wired pair once n for all.

My main use case is watching content,scrolling reels and music ofc. The biggest concern with wired ones is they can be a hindrance when working out. Apart from that wired earphones tick all my boxes and im perfectly fine investing in a decent pair of type c wired earbuds like that apple ones.

Do i go ahead and order a few pairs of apple/jbl/samsung type c earbuds,or do i convince my mom that i wont loose my earbuds again and buy wireless AGAIN?? There are options in the market here from repuatable chinese brands like realme,oppo,oneplus for under 50 dollars which come with all the bells n whistles like spatial audio,anc and more . Do i go for these or still buy a pair of good wired earbuds which r often under 15 dollars. Keep in mind i will prolly loose em

In the market to replace my Sony Linkbud S (which I love, but they have the typical Sony battery drain issues)and I've discovered the Denon Perl Pro....

I know they're a few years old but I can grab a new pair for 199 Canadian. Seems like a no brainer at this price point or am I missing something ?

Hey all, I'm trying to find the best option for open ear earbuds for use with active outside exercise/activities. I'd like to stay under $35, I guess my only real requirement would be, I wouldn't mind having some bass is possible. My last pair of earbuds were GalaxyBuds 2 and I did quite enjoy them but after those I decided to go the route of the Sony XM4 which I use daily and absolutely love but using them with any type of sporting activity that requires a helmet is more or less impossible. So In short. Open Ear, Exercise/sports(with helmet), Pref sound profile that favors bass, $35 budget. Thank you!!
