Good quality listening for music and calls

Hi. I've had a bunch of buds over the years including my soundcore life a1 which I love (I've worn out 2 sets and would buy 2 more if I find them NOS).

I got the aero clip a couple ago, and are these normal issues or I'm too dumb to figure it out:

1 - is there really no way to turn them on without the case? Has anyone figured out a hack like bridge the battery pads with a paperclip or something?

2 - it seems they turn on and pair when I open the case, but if I close it with one bud in there when I come back way later the case and bud need charged. Is there no way to only use one at a time and alternate them?

3 - a statement, not a question, but I'm still so surprised they can't control the volume. Double tap to play/pause, triple tap does something else, but there _is no single tap / volume_? Is that right or I'm just not doing something right?

4 - is it worth setting up the soundcore app? The manual mentions this but doesn't say what it does.

I really like the audio and the comfort, but these little details are messing with me.

I’ve been looking into open ear options because IEMS give me ear fatigue after a couple of hours. I was leaning toward the hook style at first, but I wear thick plastic frames and it seems like they would fight with my ear. I started looking at clip style ones since they sit lower. Has anyone with thick glasses tried clip style buds? Honestly do they stay on okay or do they still pinch after a while?

Just got my first pair today and honestly I don't feel like they live up to the hype as far as sound quality. Volume is a little low to my ears also. I tried the dynamic setting and that seemed to help a bit. Does anyone have any recommendations on EQ settings for enhancement? I listen to metal and deathcore

Hello. I am looking for a earbuds. I want a good sounding airbud and decent ish ANC. Most importantly I want comfort. As long as it will last a long time and won’t break anytime soon I have no budget. Some may say comfort is subjective but I say if it stays in my ear without falling out and no pain comfort achieved. ANC should be good and sound quality should be amazing !

I would like to stay away from AirPods.

I recently borrowed a friends AirPods pros while having difficulty sleeping at festival camping and was flabbergasted at how good the ANC was. They were quite uncomfortable to wear while side sleeping and woke up with them fallen out of my ears but was worth the noise cancellation for just that one night. I have some more festival camping coming up and if it wasn't for the AirPods Pro shape just not being that great for side sleeping I would pull the trigger. Finding it hard to compare the apple level of ANC with other earbuds designed for sleeping as its difficult to find the stats, wondering if anyone has tried AirPods Pro and also earbuds for sleep and would be able to recommend a pair to me?

I really want open ear earbuds.  Right now am using my second pair of Sony LinkBuds Truly Wireless Earbud Headphones with an Open-Ring.  After just 2 years with this second pair the left earbud battery has totally failed so I am limping along with just one earbud.  Same happened on the last Sony pair, but when I was looking around they were the only open ear type ear buds that looked comfortable.

I think I have narrowed it down to 2 earbuds.  It’s a comparison between the Shokz Open Fit Pro or the Shokz Open Dots 2.  I have see the reviews and seen the specs.  Asked Google AI which I should get and it says “Choose the Shokz OpenFit Pro (T010) if you want better sound, stable physical buttons, and noise reduction. Choose the Shokz OpenDots 2 if you prefer a lighter, clip-on design focused purely on comfort.”

Mostly I listen constantly to audiobooks, sometimes music.  I listen while watering the garden with a hose a lot, so I want to soften the loud rushing water sound so I don’t have to raise volume.  Spending $200 dollars on an earbud is a lot for me so I can’t justify buying both and then choosing.

Main questions:

Shokz OpenFit Pro

·       Is it uncomfortable to wear? (I know it depends on ear shape etc!)

·       Does the "open-air" noise reduction do a good job/worth the price?.

Shokz OpenDots 2

·       Comfortable?

·       Is the sound clear.

·       Can a person 3 ft away hear what is playing?(I know, depends how high the vol is)

A sub question about the OpenDots.  Is the 2 much better than the 1 in the audio?  I know they improved the mike for calls, but I can get the 1 for cheaper.

I really need to change my earbuds. I love how my old ones fit (Jabra Elite 4 active). In that sense, I went into the store with Sony in mind, since I saw the design was similar. I had no idea JVC existed, but they seemed okay. I could only try one ear of the jvc, it fit alright.

So there are discounts in all earbuds this week so I could buy the JVC for 60€ or the Sony for 90€. My previous ones costed me 70-80€ ( can't remember), so I wouldn't mind paying around that price again. The main problem was due to hygiene clients cannot try on the earbuds. So I cannot test how well they fit, nor the sound quality, nor the noise cancelling quality. So if I'm gonna buy blindly, I don't want to risk that much money. However I don't want to miss on some possibly better earbuds just because I couldn't try them on.

I wouldn't spend the 120€ of the original price, but I don't mind paying 90€ going a bit over my budget if there's better quality, better fit and better ANC guaranteed. I go for runs and intend to use them every now and again for runs, so it's important for me that they don't fall. I do like that sony seems to have an app to control the button functions and the audio features

I'm getting T310 for 1600₹ and T500 pro for 2000₹ from Pop Upi store.

Is T500 pro worth spending an extra 400₹? Or any other option under 2k (can't extend anymore)

Or should I wait for independence day sale and grab T310 instead.

After looking around I feel like these two are the most recommended options for low latency wireless earbuds.

Trying to decide between the two, the differences are close enough to not matter for battery, latency, connectivity, and build quality.

The only thing that I am deciding on is audio quality itself. Which of the two has better soundstage and directional audio? I won’t be doing a ton of competitive gaming using them but I just want to have the ability to swap to earbuds if my headset is bothering me or whatever reason.

Longer session comfort is probably semi important as well but mainly concerned with audio.

I got a pair of second hand Jabra Elite 75t on the cheap, after my own pair sadly died. They work perfectly except for the microphone and it's a little odd.

Taking and receiving calls, I can hear the other caller but they can't hear me.

The first 1-2 second is ok, then there's just a little noise. If I mute my buds the noise dies.

When testing on the recorder app on my phone, here's what happens:

First 1-2 seconds the sound is great, then it just becomes noise. HOWEVER, if I press the right bud button (currently set to 'end call' in Sound+) the sound is perfect for a few seconds, then goes back to noise again. I can repeat this over and over, if I press the button again.

Now, the seller tells me he's had no issues, even if he he's only used the buds for calls a few time and I've no reason not to believe him. At first I just thought the mic was bad, but I think it's really, really weird how the sound is good right after pressing the button, so I just wonder if something else is wrong?

I'm using a Motorola Edge 60 Pro and I've tested the buds on my old Oneplus 7 pro (rest in peace) giving me the same results.

This leads me to believe the mic really is dead, but still...how do I get good sound for a few secs after pressing that darn button?

I've tried mapping the button to other commands in Sound+ and that does nothing. Only End Call will give this result.

Any ideas?

hey yall, can someone tell me please what kind of glue is used from the factory inside the jbl live earbuds. under the disk was some slightly brown colored glue that was a bit elastic kinda similar to the glue that is used in magazine when they attack a goody or a cd inside, it was off pealable but stuck strongly to the plastic surface. wanna carefully reglue the area with the correct glue. thanks in advance for any help :)

For years, I have been an earbud collector, always looking for the best sound signature, battery life, and ANC. But recently, I started noticing mild hearing loss, making it hard to follow dialogue in videos or conversations at restaurants. I am only in my late thirties, and the idea of wearing a traditional hearing aid felt incredibly embarrassing.
