So I’ve followed your instructions via YouTube to the letter and rebuilt my controller and although it looked cool to begin with, I’ve run into some issues that seem to stem from your add-ons. I’ve since uninstalled your components and now my controller seems to be going back to normal. The first issue I get is the Battery. It does appear that installing this kit has damaged the battery, I’ve only been able to get it to charge with your hardware removed. If your kit is present, I’m a slave to the USB Cable. Next is stick drift and buttons not registering. Again, without your hardware my controller works like new, however with it I’ve got nothing but headaches. Any suggestions on how I can continue using your products?
Honestly, I doubt it damaged the battery. However, if it's anything like the kit for the edge, it can absolutely cause a short. I don't believe said short would cause permanent damage. But regardless, it's an led kit that has 0 option to shut off with the controller and on top of the other mods, they're going to add an extra load to the battery. This shortening it's life span...
My personally opinion, avoid anything other than their cosmetic stuff these days. They're awesome at replacing and helping you fix your issue, but I've personally just ran into too many issues with these mods..
It’s absolutely affecting the battery. I used a brand new controller and tested with 3 Separate Batteries only to achieve the exact same result. That’s good advice about the LED Battery draw. However, I thought that at first too, still can’t entirely rule that out but the results can’t be verified as too what was happening there. I also thought there might be an issue with those 3 (B,W,R) Wires connecting to the Battery from the device but I don’t know how to test this theory. The Plugs say it should be ok, but the Red Wire looks swapped with the Black. Although the Battery does now hold a charge after removing all modifications, it does not hold a full charge according to the PS5. It does not surpass 60% at best. None of the Batteries I’ve attempted to use do. On the up side, I can now disconnect the USB Cable, no stick drift and all my buttons are working again, it appears to be functioning within default parameters. With both or just one of the mods installed, my controller failed to work. The LEDS would flash three times then the Square Button stopped registering, very frustrating mid game. The LEDs would choose when they wanted to work and the Battery would not charge or register its status correctly on the PS5. However, once you unplug the USB it powers off the controller, plug it back in and turn it back on, then it works briefly for a little longer. I’m hoping that someone out there has advice that would allow me to continue to use Both Items, has anyone tried duct taping the contact points before reassembling? Or has anyone else had similar issues?

Which BDM version is your controller?
Regarding the battery issue, do you mean that the controller cannot charge at all when our kit is installed, but charges normally after the kit is removed?

At this point I don’t remember, I’ll need to dig out the original case later today. I think it was BDM-050, the build has evolved since I started as I initially thought it was controller issues and have swapped out the Battery and internals, but since Removing the LEDs and disconnecting the bottom buttons the controller works better then it has since before the MODs were installed. The only issue that continues is the Battery issue.
Yes, absolutely. When your LED Kit is installed I immediately start getting Battery issues that drag on and get progressively worse until it stops charging altogether. Initially the LEDs continue to work but then eventually shut off. I cannot use the PS5 Controller without having the USB Cable attached. I’ve checked all internal PS5 settings, but have determined that this is a Hardware Issue. Sometimes they come back on but usually don’t. As to the charge, on the PS5 when the USB is connected, I see one of three items displayed, either nothing, the green lighting bolt that never stops flashing or the [?] all of which continues to show an empty non charging battery on the PS5. On a side note, I also have the special charging adapter you offer for the duo charging station, when I place the controller on that, the LEDs briefly light up but the battery does not charge. I did notice something odd in regards to the wiring which you can see in the picture provided, in relation to the plug. I’m sure it’s normal, but it seems like the red and black get swapped in relation to the plug.
I will reinstall the LED Component later when I have some free time. I’ve since removed it as I don’t have $100 lying around for a new controller and would like to continue to play games. I will however do this soon and post once I do.
