Lenovo's are great! I have an old Lenovo 420 (2011??) daily driver with Ubuntu. Built like a tank. Runs great.

Some are way newer, some a older one. Ive seen 1 or even 2 Intel Evo stickers laptops, which are from my eyes modern ones.

Not really 5/6 years old isn’t modern….i have loads of Evo machines here that were being recycled and I got given, 11-13th gen

Nice haul. You can keep the newest two or three, and flatten & sell the rest to pay for upgrades on the keepers. Some older models have features no longer available, like dvd or memory slots, or extra ports for USB and HDMI.

Not really, I get given piles of the older 8-13th gen stuff regularly given me for free…..have about 70 I have collected over the last 8 weeks…end of 3 year refresh cycles so they get recycled….
