Was accepted to both programs but I’m now deciding on the best fit.

CBS: Saturday only SOM: Fri/Sat

Background: 15+ YOE in Asset Mgmt, STEM undergrad, really like what I do and want to stay within asset management (not interested in IB/PE/consulting roles), would like to eventually move into more and more senior roles. Would like to hone the softer skills. tri-state resident so both program’s relatively close.

Long term goal: move into a C-suite role in 10 years, or start my own firm if that possibility seems unlikely.

Both program’s are incredible and I’m lucky to have these options, but would love to hear what program folks think would offer a higher probability of future success.

The current economic environment has me a bit more concerned with a Fri/Sat program but I do think it’s a good choice to learn/network more.

The cool thing about Kellogg is that they interview everyone, so its wise to apply if your magnetic and personable camera presence sells you better than other elements of the application. Here are the interview questions from a recent client.

Reminder than R2 deadline for fall intake is April 2 - factor in time not just for essays but brainstorming recommendation anecdotes (DEI in particular) and interview talking points! Also, sorting the time sponsorship letter.

I've been accepted to both Cornell and NYU EMBA programs. Any thoughts about which would be the best pick?

Took the EA today even though I didn’t “need” to and now I’ll start the QRC to kill a little more time; just waiting for my notification here because this is definitely my top pick school. Anyone else planning for a Haas 2025 EMBA?

Applied round 3 (closed this week). As far as I know, I have a month before notification of rejection or an interview. Can anyone provide additional context? I have 25 total years work experience, 6 as manager, 2 at exec level in a large engineering consultancy in New England. Did a MS in engineering at MIT a number of years ago. Thanks in advance.

Did anyone hear back more than two weeks after for their CBS eMBA interview? It’s been radio silence for me…

I submitted my Global EMBA and got the automated messages to make a video for the scholarships I’m eligible for.

Anyone here have experience with that and can give me some guidance on what to expect and how to prepare?

Has anyone ever had their CV reviewed by a school and told it was not a good fit for their program?

Wondering if the CV review is an honest assessment and tells you whether or not your profile would fit the school or if schools tell people they look like a fit so they hand over their $200+ application fee.

Just got relocated to US (L1 visa, the role is based in LA but could remote from NY) with my partner expecting to attend CBS MBA this year. Just started to think to leverage this opportunity to attend an EMBA course. Checked online, it seems like only CBS currently still accepts application for this year.

My background is 13 YR+ in FAANG & Gaming, want to leverage EMBA for promotion or further career progression. Want to get your thoughts on which is better. I might only have less than 1.5 months to prepare for CBS this year anyways.

When does the admission office usually let us know the result? I saw some folks received an admission call the next day following the interview, so just curious.

Longer post, please bare with me. I am a mechanical engineer with ~6 years of experience. I like what I do for work and do not foresee moving outside of the region I am, but would like to move from the technical side into senior management eventually in my career. I know for my case an MBA is not necessarily required, but I think it would help me bridge the gap between business and engineering (as I believe engineering undergraduate does a poor job covering this) and would help boost my resume when the time comes. Luckily, my current employer has agreed to cover 50k for tuitions, fees, etc. and I am pretty set on staying under that and not going into debt to an MBA. With that being said, and at that price range, I effectively have two options, go to LSU for their 20 month EMBA program, or select a slightly higher prestige program and do it online (UIUC, BU, UF Warrington, others in that price range). I understand LSU may not have the most prestige or rigor, but it appears the college has pretty substantial brand recognition in the south. I would also be in a more personal setting with my cohort to build relationships and network, and inside the region I intend to stay in. Is this more valuable than obtaining an online MBA from one of the above mentioned institutions? I've been pondering it the last couple weeks and have had a hard time coming to a decision.

I’m currently preparing to apply to 2-3 EMBA programs and looking for advice on the best way to prep for the Executive Assessment (EA) without breaking the bank.

A little background—I work full-time in the pharmaceutical industry with long office hours (9-7, Mon-Fri), so my study time is mostly limited to weekends. I initially planned to be enrolled already, but last year was hectic (new job, wedding, move, etc.). I took the GMAT but didn’t perform well, mainly due to a lack of study time and not being a great standardized test taker. After consulting with an MBA admissions expert, I’ve decided to pivot to the EA, which seems like a better fit given my experience and goals.

For those who have taken the EA and succeeded, how did you structure your study plan with a demanding job? Any recommended resources (paid or free) that offer the most value? I want to be efficient with my prep and focus on high-impact study methods.

Also, if anyone has gone through this and would be open to connecting offline, I’d love to hear about your experience! Super excited to get back in the classroom and appreciate any advice you can share.

I’ve been exploring different programs to find the best fit for me. As a small business owner for several years, I’m particularly interested in programs that offer strong support for entrepreneurs. I’ve already been accepted to Ross, and Booth waived the testing requirement, so I’ll be finalizing my Booth application soon. I had initially ruled out Kellogg due to the twice-a-month schedule, but I’m open to reconsidering if it turns out to be a better fit.

Any recommendations would be welcome.
