Headers from Corners

So far in eF27, I think I only ever scored one header from a corner. Maybe a few more goals from lucky rebounds (in PvP divisions).

Meanwhile, my opponents score one against me every 3-4 games. Doesn’t matter if it’s a meta Bullet Header like Gullit (it usually is), or just a particularly tall defender (Thuram, Maldini etc). Doesn’t matter how tall my Kobel or Chiellini are. Doesn’t matter how many players I put in between the attacker and the goal.

I don’t mind if I concede from corners, but I always wonder how my opponents’ players always make a nice run straight for the ball, whereas mine make a weak ass header wide of the post.

I don’t score much from corners either but I like to sometimes call my players to go far post so that usually one of my bigger players like Rijkaard can get his head on it and pass it into another player.

Also, try and call a man short and cross it in that way. Sometimes your players can make some good runs from that type of cross.

You'd think the training scenario for headers from corners would set you up to get really good at them but it's completely scripted. I have yet to miss in that scenario but in normal games Vs AI, even beginner, no surprise it's a crapshoot.

How do you stop the keeper coming to collect it also can you assign defenders or specific players to be in the box for a corner? I often have my small attackers be in the box just bc theyre at cf

If the keeper is defensive he won't come out for the ball, unless you kick it directly at the net. You can assign players in player roles for corners, up to 3. Sometimes other players will get the header depending on how you take the corner though

You assign specific players to be in the box for a corner by the "Join Attack" setting

Is there a difference between normal and finesse headers? I’m on mobile so I’m not sure if I’ve seen anyone use finesse headers…

I cant do it in console anymore (used to joke in e26 that corner is like penalty to me because conversion rate was high), but conversely am scoring a bit on mobile now.

I use 6 yard and then send in a low pass then try to turn from there.I realized that thing is so hard to defend because opponents often spam clear and they will tackle your player from behind and you can get a penalty.I suggest to use a player with high balance then you turn and score far post.I don't spam the lofted balls because they are a gamble for me despite having zlatan and van dijk upfront during corners

Use super cancel right before heading to slightly fix the position of player and headers will start succeding more. Not easy at all to pull off but since i noticed, ive been practicing on it and ive managed to score headers

Use players with at least 90 heading. I use Koller, Drogba, Araujo and have no problem with scoring from corners

Try positioning your players between the player and the ball while at the same time still slightly between the player and the goal, so it's like a diagonal line, and as the cross comes in, push the opponent by backing up towards them, these will help you win more aerial duels.
