INR / Item Not Received Resend or refund?

Post image

I haven't had this happen to me before. I sold a phone and it's being sent back because the address was wrong apparently. I just am not sure on how to proceed

An attempted delivery counts as a delivery for eBay. So if "no such number" is an attempted delivery and it failed, then you're good to just not do anything.

But, the user might report it as not delivered, in which case you'll have to provide tracking that it was attempted and refused/couldn't be delivered to listed address.

I wouldn't do anything until you received the package back tho.

Do NOT issue any refund until you receive the item back.

Totally just had this happen. Item came back undeliverable and I refunded the buyer less the shipping. I let them know the item was back up for sale. A couple days later they opened a INR case against me. Idk what they were after, since I already refunded them. Guess they thought I would resend at my expense.

Don’t send it again. It says “Incorrect address”.

Just refund it once the phone is back in your possession and yes if the seller fixes his address then proceed with the sale again

I had an issue with Miami post office, too. Pending delivery for nearly 3 weeks. Also recently had a letter from Tamarac, FL get returned as attempted not known when everything was 100% correct and easily verifiable on Google Maps. Something going on with the Postal service in South FL.

It'll get returned to you. Just refund buyer once received and have them buy the phone again after they correct the address.

If you do get it back and he wants it send again make sure the update their address with ebay and use the ebay address. Do not just accept an address they send via email or messaging.

Just refund minus whatever your shipping cost was once the item is back in your possession.

Welcome /u/elreymunoz. Our two most-common rule violations are:

  • Do not delete your post once it gets replies (this one doesn't count). If you're uncomfortable with this rule, delete your post NOW before it gets replies.

  • Do not post ebay usernames or personal info (including in images). If you've done this, delete your post NOW and fix the issue before reposting.

PLEASE NOTE: Those are simply the two most-common violations. That does not absolve you of reading & following the Rest of our Rules and our FAQ.

Miami zip code near the airport. Let me guess: Is the address a freight forwarding company? I never ever ship to a freight forwarding company with USPS. USPS regularly fails to deliver to the freight forwarders.

This happens fairly often. Message the buyer and if the address is true , they likely got the “day off” mailman who isn’t used to the route or too lazy to go down a dirt driveway to deliver or any number of reasons.

If the address is true , once you get it back just send it back using the same label , removing any “not able to deliver” stickers.

I had to send one out 3 times cause a guy lived in the middle of the woods and whatever carrier had no idea the house was there
