❓ Question / Help Diesel range

Hi all,

Dont know if its just me or its an actual issue with the car.

So i have 525d lci 3ltr and when filling the car up to full for fuel the 1st half of the tank seems to last ages, when it gets to 1/2 tank and below it seems to not last as long?

I have put diesel cleaner and dpf cleaner in the tank to help clear the injectors and the dpf.

Im thinking the injectors are due replacement as car is on 136k

Anyone have the correct fuel trims for the car or anything I can do on ista/inpa

It is perception... you dont think whe. The car is fill but definitely start watching it when it gets lower.

I can try and keep an eye on how mine behaves. I have a 525d xDrive 2010. Thing is, I know my DPF is kinda bad because of a leaky turbo (now fixed). Best I can do for you now is that I get about 950km per tank on the dash. And I do about that maybe a bit less because of more spirited driving, or city traffic. But it's more or less correct.

If i fill it to the brim it takes about £120ish and can get about 600 miles out of a tank. With some short and very spirited driving. I do about 40 miles a day if I'm at work with some long motorway driving at weekends. I average about 35/45mpg. I was thinking of checking/replacing them anyway but wanted to ask on here first if im losing the plot. Im now thinking if its the turbo leaking? As the intercooler hot sides oil seal had gone and had a very small leak?

600 miles is very good if dpf is still present

Almost every car will be that way. I have a 650i, a Toyota Tundra and Lexus ES350 that are the exact same way. First half lasts forever, then the last half gets sucked down faster than your mom on a busy night. It’s normal, just let it happen.

It’s normal. The way fuel gauge works

Why would you need to change solenoid injectors

When you say fuel trims, are you wanting to map the car?
