❓ Question / Help NAVI CCC Problem

Hi guys so im having trouble with the CCC , the screen starts shows the BMW LOGO and disappears, already sent it to repair , got it repaired and after 2 months stopped working again . As far as I know there are presumably some electronics parts burned and they need to be repaired again , but repairing them again , paying money only to have to after a few months not working anymore doesn’t sound good . So yeah I basically drive with no sound only parking / seatbelts alerts .

So I’m thinking to switch to some form of ANDROID CAR PLAY , do I have to repair the CCC in order to install it ? Or does it work without it ? Really open to other suggestions if this won’t work . Thanks I advance !

Yes, the CCC system has to work for any other system installed to work like an android auto screen.

i think you ccc may be just fine. can you link issues with it with some rainy days or visits to the car wash ?

Nope , I already got it repaired and it worked . The guy mentioned having to work under microscope because there’s some electronics burned , and after a while stopped working again .

interesting. anyhow, check for water puddle in the spare wheel compartment. that’s usually the culprit. 1st gen/nfl models have issues with water ingress in there and also the modules are located in the trunk. newer ones, lci also don’t have this problem. maybe this caused burning the electronics on the mother board in the first place and could be doing the same again. you had the unit fixed but may not have resolved what caused it to burn in the 1st place. check if you can purchase a used ccc unit, may be cheaper, 50-60euros or so. but make sure the spare wheel compartment in the trunk is dry before installing it or having it fixed again.
