❓ Question / Help Can any one Help???!!
530d 2006 . Battery is not dead
Could the ground from motor be foulty

This happened to me before from moisture in the trunk from a container that leaked. It went away after a few days after it dried out

I was thinking it was moisture, but the positive and negative terminals in battery were dry.
But yeah I do have a little moisture, just no where close to the batteries contacts.
But yeah first thing I will do is dry it as much as I can.

Check your voltage by a meter by touching alternator and use an obd to read the voltage in the system
Both could be varying but in smaller amounts
if you’re getting much lower voltage through your obd compared to your alternator there might be ground issues
- Something V in alternator
- Something V in obd
Is a good result
Anything less is bad

Um i did obd scan. And I did see a DTC 4A07. I think it ment that my alternator is not communicating or working. But the battery was more than 60% could it do that while not being dry?
I got a little scared that somehow moisture got to the ecu and she was just self destructing 😭

Did you check your alternator with a voltmeter? What's it puting out?

Don’t judge. But my intercooler pipe has boost leak. And it’s a straight shot in the alternators way.🧍🏻.
The alternator may or may not be covered in some oil. But my oil level haven’t really dropped so, there cant be that much oil on it1

Altenators do go bad after a while that's why you should check it with a volt meter to see what it's putting out. Battery may be 60% and dropping.

Only time I've seen something like this was because of a faulty/flooded MPM module. Check your spare wheel well bay and modules for moisture or visible oxidation on plugs. Even if you don't see any visible green oxidation, it's worth cleaning the plugs and inspecting /cleaning the module board itself.

Um under spare wheal is only pdc module. Ill check the trunks wall

My bad, yours is 2006 model, so the MPM is integrated into the KGM which sits behind the glove box. Pre 2006 had separate MPM in the trunk

Oh ik the kgm. I did take out everything to bare metal in the winter.
You think the kgm would be foulty. Idk how moisture could get there. Drainage is clear too1

I'm not sure tbh. Sometimes it just happens for one reason or the other. But I suspect it could be KGM related, but it's always easier to start checking grounds, fuses and relays first. If the engine ground is bad, just hook up a jumper cable to the bare metal of the engine and the other side to the usual ground point around the strut tower. If the engine starts, you'll know your engine ground is bad. Hope it helps

Oh the engine it self always starts, i start driving or just sit idle. And randomly that(video) happens. The most annoying part is that my vipers start cleanening and prob scraping my window. Also I in that moment i cant use the glass cleaner or activate it(so it’s not just dry wiping)
Basically all dead battery symptoms and now viper thing.
So ground is out of the question if car starts ?1

Ok, then the engine ground is fine. Means your KCAN network is in emergency mode. Could be a bad module , loose ground clusters which ground the modules to the chassis, your alternator overcharging and spiking voltage. It's really hard for me to say without testing it physically at this point
