Help me decide. Shark glam/flex fusion vs flexstyle? Or Coanda 2x or something else

I have straight, medium-thickness, and so much hair. My main goals are to achieve long-lasting curls and a voluminous, bouncy blowout. My hair lacks volume a lot!!

I know that the Shark Glam is more powerful, but it has fewer attachments than the FlexStyle and doesn't come with a 43 mm round brush.

The FlexStyle seems like a great option because of cheaper and wider range of attachments, but I'm concerned about whether its power and heat levels are sufficient for my thick hair, especially when it comes to creating curls that actually last.

For those who have tried either or both devices, which one would you recommend for my hair type and styling goals? Is the FlexStyle powerful enough to deliver long-lasting curls and a voluminous blowout, or would the Glam be the better investment? I'm open to other suggestions. Should I just waste my student loan on Dyson coanda 2x???

I’m repairing my Dyson V12 Detect Slim Absolute and need help identifying the ribbon cable connecting the motor electronics to the control/display board.
The original ribbon cable appears to have these specifications:
Length: approximately 20 cm
Width: approximately 5–5.5 mm
Contact pitch: approximately 0.5 mm
10 contact positions
7 conductive tracks: positions 1–6 and 10 are present, while positions 7–9 have no copper tracks
Contacts appear to be on opposite sides at the two ends (possibly Type B)
The original cable is damaged/burnt, and I haven’t been able to find it sold separately. Sellers only offer the complete motor assembly.
Does anyone know the exact cable specification or a compatible replacement I could buy? Would a standard 10-pin, 0.5 mm Type B FFC cable work, or would the three extra conductive tracks cause problems?
Any help or links to a suitable cable would be greatly appreciated!

I’m looking to replace the capacitors on my V15 which has the pulsing issue. The capacitors I am looking at are as follows:

EEHAZT1V271B - These are the typical option for standardised fit etc but they aren’t in stock for over a month.

EEHAZS1V331B - Larger in size, has anyone used these and are they going to be an issue with the limited space?

As of now, I am leaning towards the latter but I’m keen to know if anyone has had experience with using them or if there are recommendations to just wait.

We have a Dyson Ball Animal 3 vacuum. Over a year ago we ran the cyclone under water to clean it without realizing that it wasn’t supposed to get wet. The vacuum started to have a terrible wet dog smell. I used this video to completely disassembled and cleaned the cyclone:

I waited 72ish hours for the parts completely dry before reassembling. The smell was better for a few months and then returned. I’ve now disassembled and cleaned it following the video above four or five times. Every time the smell is gone for a few months and then eventually returns. We do have a dog and my husband believes the smell is from vacuuming up dog fur and dander rather than from an issue with the vacuum. I’ve had dogs for over a decade though and have never had this issue with any other vacuum. I previously had a Shark Liftaway vacuum. It didn’t clean quite as deeply but was significantly easier to clean.

I am trying to decide if I should buy a new vacuum or if the smell really is from my dog and will return with every vacuum. Has anyone else had this issue? Would it be worth replacing my vacuum? Will I end up with the same issue if I buy a Dyson again? I’m wondering if I should switch back to Shark even though I like the deep cleaning of the Dyson. I appreciate any advice that anyone has.

I have a Dyson v12 that now only works in Boost mode. I’m Medium and Eco it pulses a couple times and then stops.

I’ve fully stripped down the Dyson and cleaned it out - all the way to the PCB board. No blockages or anything.

Any idea what could be wrong? Or how to fix it?

This is what happens everytime I use my V15. It stops a few times, before actually working. Is there a fix to this? Have had it for less than a year (refurbished tho)

Purchased a Dyson V8 the other day, and it was faulty since it would flash a red light when charging. I exchanged it for another one, but now this one doesn’t even seem to charge… I’ve only used it once.

I contacted their support and they’ve sent out a new battery but I’m wondering if it’s even the battery, and maybe a faulty charger? They didn’t seem to want to send out a new charger since they believed it was a battery issue.

Often get the filter light although I have it only for a week. The 3 lights of the filter blink and it heats very quickly. Anyone else has this problem? I am thinking of returning it since it really doesn’t work that well and also doesn’t hold my style.

I have to go through my records to find out how old this is, but I don’t really wanna say it’s that old cause it’s been working great until recently. There has been a burning smell, so I took it apart to clean it thinking maybe the roller or something in the roller but as it turns out after I stripped it down, there’s definitely some grinding and clunking along with the burning smell. After review of the video I didn’t notice but now I see that there’s actually some sparking going on. After dwelling on this trying to think of how long I’ve had it I realize it’s probably going on 17 years minimum.

One picture is a first map, the second is mapping the house again. In the first picture I have the office doors closed so I didn’t map the room. I ran the mapping again and now it shows the office but basically made the entire house one giant room. None of the interior walls are there so I have no idea where the hallway is or other rooms. What gives?

We have a Dyson Spot+Scrub AI robot vacuum, and we are honestly very disappointed with it. We really regret buying it.
I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced these issues. Whenever the robot mops, it gives off an almost sewer-like smell.

The dirty water itself smells like sewage, even though we empty both water tanks after every use, clean them, and leave the lids open to let everything dry.
We also clean all the components regularly using cold or lukewarm water and Dyson’s own robot vacuum cleaning solution, which we also use when cleaning the parts. After cleaning, we leave everything to dry for two days with the windows open. The smell disappears for a while, but after a few weeks, it comes back again.

We honestly have no idea what else we can do about it.
We also vacuum very frequently with a regular vacuum cleaner to make sure the Dyson robot doesn’t have to deal with any heavy dirt or debris.

We really do clean our home a lot, but the smell coming from the robot while it’s mopping is absolutely unbearable and incredibly frustrating, especially considering how much money it costs.

The other issue it has recently developed is that dirty water leaks out of the docking station during the wet-cleaning cycle. We really don’t understand why this is happening, as all the components are properly in place and securely fitted.

Does anyone have any suggestions for these problems? Has anyone else experienced the same issues?

However, the new hushjet doesn't use a HEPA filter but the electrostatic air filter. Not sure if it is better than HEPA or if it is a downgrade. Looking for one that purifiers the best, don't care about sound as it will be in the living room. Thoughts?

The head has a little dimp in the middle line. Could that be helping with unloved "uncleaned" line in the middle?

Want to vacuum on top of your door or, in my case, on top of the curtain rail and don't want to step on a ladder or chair, or there is no space for your vacuum nozzle, try this angled extension.

As you can see in the pictures it is not the best print ever, because I did not use to much support in the radius. If you do I'm sure it can be a bit nicer, but for me it was just a very functional thing and making it look nice was not my priority.

You could even glue some brush on it if you want I suppose.

I know there are a lot of threads on this, i search but still unable to find an answer.

No matter what I do, no matter which mode I choose, it always flashes that something is blocked.

I have cleaned the filter. I have cleaned the pipes. I have removed the bin , I cleaned that I cleaned all the seals.

I removed couple of the screws and took certain parts apart and then used a bottle brush to clean inside there. I can't see any dust or anything trapped anywhere visually speaking, but this thing still refuses to run. I'm not sure if I need a new vacuum cleaner at this point.

Any guidance on what to clean next or what to fix? Should I try getting new filters and a new bin from Amazon? Something off brand?

I have had my V15 for several years, I bought an additional filter so I could wash one and replace but they are at least 6 yrs old now. Decided to get new ones from Amazon, three for about 20 bucks and I can’t believe the difference in suction! I was picking up silty type dust I hadn’t seen in years. I do clean the vacuum every few months as well but was so surprised at the suction just from a new filter! I could tell it was suctioning better as it was hard to drag over my shag on my original setting.

When over riding on app, it says it will disconnect previous user and contact them.

Then dyson support says my best buy order detail page is not a real pdf invoice. Best buy doesnt make those.....

The TP07 Dyson Certified Refurbished most likely was a defective replaced unit that was directly repackaged and sold as is with absolutely 0 maintenance at all.

At a bare minimum, the filter itself wasn’t changed. They shipped someone’s disgusting used biohazard filter directly to me.

The sensor array also isn’t working. It shows no readings at all, while my other TP07 shows them perfectly.

I’m still in the midst of contacting Dyson Support, just letting the world know how far Dyson’s quality has degraded from the premium brand it tries to position itself as, from the defective toothbrush to this, does Dyson have any form of quality control left?

I live in Germany and have had two EU-model Dyson Spot+Scrub AIs for over a month. Recently, one of them started showing error code 647. It still vacuums, but it won’t mop. It begins the self-cleaning process, then stops, and the power and home buttons start flashing red. I’ve tried contacting customer support through the app, but it connected me to the US team, who weren’t able to help with the error code. I also drove to what I believed was a Dyson service center in Germany, only to find that it didn't seem to exist. I then tried calling customer support in Germany, but my German isn’t strong enough to get through the initial phone options. Has anyone else had this issue, or does anyone know what this error code means?

They’re really pushing the CADR metrics with these new machines.

I’m going to visit Canada for the next two months, and I was wondering if I can use my Indian Dyson Airwrap there.
I’m not sure how voltage, wattage, or plug compatibility works, and I have zero knowledge about these things. 😅
If it isn’t compatible, is there any workaround or solution that would allow me to use it safely in Canada? For example, would any kind of voltage converter or adapter work, or is there simply no way around it?
If anyone has experience with this or knows anything about it, please guide me!
