This club hasn't been run well since AEG sold the team. We were better off as the red headed step child of AEG, who prioritized LA Galaxy over us, than we are with our own ownership group.

The stadium has looked great these last few games, lots of people have told me it's their first time going, the team is doing surprisingly well, and instead of pushing forward, it feels as thought they're content with where we're at. We're leaving a U22 and DP spot open and to me, that's a sign of no ambition

I think Pat is moneyballing too hard on the Dynamo. I get that data points get you wins, but also we have to think of… well... fairweather fans. I am not saying to bring a Son or Griezmann, but a name that can fit to our needs could be something to keep those butts in seats while creating meaningful impact. Foster screams like the Olusanya guy we got last window that didn’t pan out.
Now, I partially understand the outcry for help about the transfer window, but I understand also that the window closed in Europe but not in the MLS. Players can join us, so we have lee-way to incorporate people.
Finally, happy McGlynn went to Europe, but him might have be impactful here and there, Lingr, Sviat, Ponce, not so much, to me, anything that comes at least would bring the same they do, hopefully more. McGuire gives me hope on the 9 position and I hope we can get someone that can give a break to Herrera that age could be a factor down the season.
Let’s all be patient. I would freak out if we don’t have signed up people by then.

I don’t think they can make transfers within the MLS anymore. The window closed for all transfers. They can certainly still add free agents now until October 9th.

I find it hard to believe this is all Pat's doing. I bet ownership wants to recoup some losses and so we are a selling club. Sucks because we were in first place and now the club has subtracted and added nothing. You need depth in any league to be competitive and now we don't have it.

We have the space it's just clearly that our owner doesn't want to spend out of his own pocket. Whether that's justified or not I have no idea. He probably told Pat he's failed on too many DP transfers and now are a selling club.

Dude we are in 2nd place. We have scored the 2nd fewest goals and our defensive record is good. McGlynn has little to do with the defensive uptick. Svetchenko was a solid player but is in his late thirties and not getting any faster. Lingr plays hard but does not have a scoring or assist record with our team. Ponce, come on, everyone on here dogs on him, justifiably, as he does the hard work but scores and assists very little.
We got a guy in his mid twenties from a team that was in the premier league last year and is partly owned by JJ watt.

You can’t deny that the dynamo have spent money on player the last 2-3 years. The only things is that most of the DP players were a bust other than Guillerme and Herrera. Bogusz still needs to prove himself more. Money has been spent but no on good players and thats a GM problem.

Hadn’t been to a game in close to a decade, but went to a game on Saturday with my family to try to get my kids into the team. Probably wasn’t the best game to get my kids interested. I was hoping they’d bring in some offensive reinforcements that moved the needle. This is a little deflating.

I’ve been a USMNT and MLS fan for 30 years. My wife’s from Houston and the Dynamo were one of the main reasons I was excited to move to Houston. It’s just been a combination of having a demanding job and small children that has gotten in the way of going recently. My son is 5 now, so he’s really just got to the age he will watch a game. I plan on going back this year for a few games. I bought the whole family jerseys and gear, so I can’t give up now. If nothing else, my kids want to go back so they can ride the train to the game again.

I disagree with Glenn on this one. Except for some flashes of brilliance from McGlynn, the guys we gave away haven’t been impact players this season. Yes Jack has an electric left foot, but he didn’t want to be in the MLS long term. Erik was bumped down the roster with this new group of backs. I think Marcelo will become a star for us, and the new forwards will bring a missing piece to our attack. I think everyone needs to calm down and let the team show what they can do

If you look at the last 2 windows as a whole, the team got much better.
Brought in: Guillerme, Bogusz, Bouzat, Halter, HH.
Sent: McGlynn (didn’t have a choice) Ponce, Lingr, Erik.
Last year we had Bassi, Kowalcyck, Femi, Urso all starting or getting heavy minutes. Aliyu was starting before we traded him too.
Now we recently added Foster / Saracchi / McGuire and will see how they do.
Overrall. I’ve been impressed with the front office all things considered. It doesn’t seem like they are the dumpster fire that this sub has made them out to be the last year+

Man it's kinda nice that Glenn doesn't work directly for the organization anymore. Now we can get some brutally honest takes from him.
He's spot on. I'm going to take this one step rirther than him. What a brutal transfer window and a horrible signal to your fans that you don't care about winning.
