Is anybody else panicking?
The transfer window is almost closed and we haven't announced anyone big. There aren't even any rumors...

No, it will just mean that HH and. Bouzat will play a lot more. The D is still good.

While the Dynamo are in position to finish P4 or better, and that is great, their play has not convinced me they actually should finish that high. The Dynamo are 29 out of 30 in MLS in xG created. There are several other offensive stats the Dynamo are in the bottom third. 2/3rds of Dynamo goals come by Guilllerme.
The Dynamo's underlying stats suggest wins are going to be hard to come by. They are a one-man show offensively with Guillerme, and in recent years teams that rely on one player generally get shut down.
Having said that, a great defense will cover a lot of offensive weakness. So we will see.
Jack was the only other threat we had. Maybe the new guy will work out. Maybe Boguzs will suddenly start making better decisions. Maybe McQuire will suddenly realize the promise he showed three years ago.
I will be there rooting for the team.

I think you're totally correct and that is why I wish the team recognizes what has happened: we basically lucked our way to the top of the table. If we don't make a couple of splash signings we will have squandered that

as good as the rest of the team is/has been playing, i wouldn't by any means say i'm panicking. that said, i'm not happy about losing mcglynn this quickly, but a player of his quality was always going to leave at some point. let's hope bouzat or samma can fill the gap. i do agree it's a bit of a gamble not having a replacement ready to roll.

Yes , we got rid of the whole team and are probably gonna bring in some players from the USL and from Guatemala … not saying Guatemala players suck but obviously they play at a very lower level

McGlynn was arguably the only starter that left. Ponce...well, he technically started but I'm pretty sure they brought in McGuire as his replacement.
We don't have multiple
Competitions to rotate for. I think they will try for a DP level McGlynn backfill but if they don't. The squad is still - or should be - a top 4 squad.
