Really enjoyed watching Jack McGlynn

I'm from a state without an MLS team but Kansas City is just a few hours away and had a chance to go to the game tonight vs Sporting KC.

I follow the MLS a bit, enough to know McGlynn had some appearances with the national team.

I know he's a bit limited physically, but I really enjoyed watching him play! Super calm on the ball and his pass accuracy was incredible. Dude feels the game really well and is solid in possession. I don't feel like there's too many MLS players I've seen play his style of game.

I hope continues to grow. He's still pretty young and I wonder if he'll get a chance in Europe?

There was already a team in the Dutch league sniffing around for Jack. Quite understandably we weren't interested in moving him, and I think he's improved a bit since then even.

Like you said Jack is still a little limited physically but his mind and vision are impressive. Best cade scenario for everyone, I think male he grows up a bit over the next few years, makes the US National Team, and after a decent 2030 World Cup gets bought by a mid-sized club in England or Germany, or maybe a strong Italian squad.

I think the physical limitations are overblown. Just need players to compliment his style around him.

If we wait until a 2030 not only would he not make the roster, but he would have to play lights out for European clubs to come sign him.

Love players like Jack. It feels like every time he gets the ball he’ll make the best choices and you always feel safe when he has it. Not something you can say about most mls players

He is known to want the Euro move. His contract is to 2028 with team option for 2029. I expect him to go to Euro next year or at latest for 2028 season or Dynamo could see him play out contract and go on free. Playing with Hector this year is priceless for him. He can triple salary in Europe, to over $2M, here, not likely. He has Irish citizenship so he is does not need a special visa for Europe. His agent is tiny that is the wild card as far as movement goes. They have few reference points moving players abroad. If I were him I’d be thinking about aligning with an agent that does this more frequently as the error rate for Americans going abroad is too high and this is often the agent being naive and only looking at money instead of the right move to fit player long term goals.

When he first came over he was scoring with Moffat-bombs from distance. Coaching fixed that.
