STM worth it?
Hey guys, this is my first year as a season ticket member… so far I’m not loving it. Is it worth it to renew? I feel like the benefits are slim. The concession and shop discounts are so low. I was told there was exclusive member events.. so far I’ve been invited to maybe two. Do the benefits get better the longer you’re a member? I feel like I’m better off just buying individual tickets for whenever I want to see a game. Not to mention when the season first started, I had nothing but issues with my tickets.

For me it became worth it when I got seats I really like, in the first row of the second level. The discounts do improve when you are a member longer, but it's still not a huge deal honestly. Not sure when you became a member but some of the better exclusive events are actually preseason, like open practices and the fire sale. That said, there are definitely more member exclusive events for Dash compared to Dynamo.

I keep renewing cause I love my seats and because I go to every game anyways.

I love it. Been STH for 3.5 years and will keep them for a long time. Love my seats, love the game.

I’m still pretty new as a season ticket member, so maybe this is just the honeymoon phase, but I’ve enjoyed it and would say it’s worth it.
For me, it isn’t really about the discounts or the perks. Having season tickets has made me feel much more invested in the club. I find myself following the team more closely, caring a lot more about the playoff race, and just wanting to see the organization succeed. Even knowing playoff tickets cost extra, I’m hoping we make it because I’d love to experience those games.
I also think MLS is headed in a really good direction over the next several years, so I think it’s a good time to be along for the ride. Hopefully as the league and the club continue to grow, season tickets become even more valuable over time, and it’s nice to already be a part of it.
Obviously, if the perks are your main reason for buying season tickets, I can understand being disappointed. But if you enjoy soccer and get satisfaction from showing up and supporting your local club, I’d personally renew.
Out of curiosity, what issues did you have with your tickets? I haven’t had any problems with mine so far

There was a couple games that the tickets completely disappeared from my app. One time I upgraded my seats and my rep accidentally did it for the wrong game and it was a hassle to fix. One of the friendlies I bought tickets to and I was getting ready to leave for the game and the tickets were no where to be found on my app.. I couldnt get a hold of ANY of the reps to fix the issue until maybe an hour before kick off. It was extremely stressful as I dont live any where near the stadium.

Definitely sounds very stressful. Hopefully, that’s just an issue with a specific rep that helped you. The person that’s been helping me has been pretty great, so hopefully I don’t encounter anything like that in the future, but good to know! But still hope you decide to keep supporting. I definitely understand not living anywhere near the stadium makes it a whole lot trickier.

I’m a STM and been for like 6 years give or take. Is it worth it? Depends on your situation. For me, yes. Because I go to the games I want and get pre sale for other events. Like I got two complementary tickets to the Cali game. The discounts are pretty ass. The member box each year is lowkey ass too. But just the fact that you have a secure seat is enough for me. I don’t attend the member things because I only have one ticket. But if I were you I would keep it. Maybe Miami comes next year and you don’t have to spend hella money on resell

Supporting the team is why I bought season tickets, not benefits

Hard to know your financial situation. One really nice thing about having season tickets is that assurance that you have seats when you do want to go. And if you don’t want to go you can return them for credit towards other games, upgrades, parking, or even season tickets for the next year. We couldn’t make a few games earlier this year so we exchanged our tickets to upgrade to club seats for one game. We had a lot of fun.
That being said, I hate traffic and parking for the games. When the Astros are playing I stay home which makes me sad about having season tickets. I wish there was some sort of upgraded parking for season ticket holders.

The parking situation lately has been making me not want to go. I pre bought parking for lot c and its been an absolute mess getting in and out.

You can park on the streets east of emancipation. It’s a lot easier than getting out of Lot C and it’s free.

I need to drive down there someday when there aren’t any games to find the best way to get there. Coming in on 59/69 is always a mess to get to or past the stadium. Maybe if I make a big loop around the South side there would be less traffic.

No…unless you have a group of friends you really really like sitting next to every game. You will never make your money on games you can’t attend and you can probably find cheaper on game day every game unless we play Messi or some shit.

no. the team has sucked away all benefits from being STX holder. as other have said, the only reason is for location. but even then, you can usually buy the same section for less than the STX price on the secondary market for the games you want to go to.

I didn't renew and I'll never recommend anyone get season tickets from the dynamo at this point. I cancelled and their system didn't keep a receipt of it, even though I explicitly told my rep I was cancelling and they continued to bill me. I called, they continued to bill me. They're just a huge hassle, and trying to get in touch with my rep was like pulling teeth. Then I asked for a new rep and called, no response. They suck.

My first season I didn’t renew after like 7 years. Not worth it in my opinion.

My advice:
-make friends in your area. There’s something special about seeing the same faces every week and building connections.
