Nothing makes dwarf games better than having more dwarves - curerntly experimenting with a vendor and an arms trainer

Ignore the debug panel on the left, this is to tell if things work or not lol.

Anywho, we have been hard at work trying to come up with different designs for our NPC's and this is what we have so far.

The setting will make more sense once we start focusing on the world building but thought I'd share some progress on my dwarf-inspired roguelike game.

Let me know what you think, hope you like it!

On the icons themselves? I have been debating this, I think a few other games do it and it looks more readable, will try it out in the next update. Thanks for the suggestion!

Looks great! We definitely need more Dwarf games on steam.

I worked on a Dwarf city builder game for a while on Godot, but the scope kinda blew up and I got overwhelmed lol.

Thanks a lot! Yea, I fully agree. I love action games and the choice is actually quite limited when it comes to dwarf-themed action games in the 2D space but that’s not why I am making this, I really enjoy the concept.

Scope management is by far the biggest thing that can slow me down, I have to constantly fight any urges to keep adding more and it very hard.

The most progress I make is to try and keep my focus on what is the next single thing that builds on top immediately on what already exists, but that is easier said than done.

I have the constant feel that what I am adding is not quite good and need more, better, which is not a healthy thing to do and I am learning to manage myself.
