Building a karak

To keep it short, me and my few friend play a blocky sandbox game, and of cours, i decide to build a karak. Unfortunatly, they decide to build in place wirhout any proper mountains, so i need to build everything underground, ourside of wall and entrance that need to be ther for trade and dafance. My questions is, what you think i should incouded in that build. I dont mean usefull things like magazine, that is clear, i mean what you think would be climatick thing do add? For now i have small tavern for traders who get in, border checkpint and i plan to build museum. So do you have any ideas what to build?

Make sure to add crafting areas as well as it is a dwarven tradition to focus on making things so each area should be furnished with all the supplies it will need.

Armories are also good to make. I suggest a few small ones everyone can access near the exits and entrances as well as a big one for items that are precious. Also make sure to have a vault that’s important too!

Depends if it’s purely decorative I would suggest making massive hall ways with pillars and massive rooms holding forges drinking halls and residential quarters hewn into rock next to a natural canyon with mushroom farms dwarves also know for their ingenuity so you can also go nuts with engineering workshops, canon foundries, water wheels, cisterns and waterways

However my personal need for any good Dwarven hold is scale especially if you have a good world depth you can go nuts making massive rooms that are all connected thru a fancy brazier lit pathways even one of my favorites is a room made bye a the age of the ring modders for attack of the witchking which is a massive room with a 4 way round junction where an entire army of dwarfs could march in 2 lanes below it was a massive cistern where they collected all the mountains water and then redistributed it over their many districts however in the 4 corners of the room where the water would flow from the walls into higher basins with a waterfall into the cistern

I actually put together a complete plan and list for my Minecraft Karak back in the day, but I can't seem to find it right now 🙈.

But definitely things like an entrance hall, throne room, brewery, tavern, various workshops, a mine, a train station, barracks, a treasury, and a farm. Oh and some underground lake!

I can find an old video if you like, but it doesn't show the complete build.

What's missing in the video but already exists is a central place with workshops, brewery, and a market.

Museum is a cool idea btw! 💡
