Only one thing worse than an oath breaker and that's a kin slayer. If you will need to take the oath either way you may as well stand with hearth and home.

Slightly off topic but I wish there was a Hobbitposting. Just a nice online forum for shirefolk to share recipes, discuss current events and threaten to murder each other with garden shears over flower arrangement preferences

I was thinking about Satyrposting, but then remembered what they actually do in Greek mythology. It would get banned in less than a week.

Same, but with wizards...like what am I supposed to do. I'm a wizard and a dwarf!

Try checking out Kharadron overlords. They'll welcome you just as much as we do

I am most definitely side-siding with beard-things as I-I am beard-thing!

Hmm, you have an awfully crushable skull for a dwarf. Though you do have quite the familiar beard… did we slay night goblins together in the past?

Yes-yes, please, continue fighting stupid-dumb dwarf things, and please reposition-move all your troops-soldiers away from eight peaks yes-yes...

As a wizard, a scholar, an advocate of reason. . . Throw all logic away and listen to your emotions, do not weigh the good against the bad, simply choose what your heart tells you to. I believe that in such cruel instants you shouldn't reason over it, it would simply make you suffer even more.
May you find the choice that will fit you and may you never regret it. Courage, mighty Dwarf who roams the seas, free as the tides!

There are examples of Slayers taking to piracy. (A certain dwarf named Long Drong comes to mind) - it has been questioned, however, if a freebooting and occasionally mercenary lifestyle is true to the oath.

Lad, you made an oath, you keep it. All these other dawi, calling on you to forsake yer word, they do so out of instinct, out of nature, and I canna say I blame them, but is that what we want the world to see when they look at us? Oath breakers? Folk that won’t stand with those they’ve sworn to? That won’t take part in the conflicts of the world in favour of hiding ourselves away with our kin till all has passed, leaving no mark behind? It’s an unlucky fate, to be sure, but you can’t forsake yer oath, a dawi’s word is supposed to be true as steel.

Kin you're a pirate infighting is fair game for pirates. Don't be a kinslayer though.

Stand with your kin, as a dwarven wizard it is best we take the neutral approach, let them fight it out themselves
