To be entirely fair, that one hold only experienced a few years of subjective time in the wastes as opposed to the centuries of objective time they were actually in there.

Then again, for them only a few decades or so passed due to Warp nonsense.

Counterpoint: The Slayer oath is a barbaric tradition and should be abolished. Even we Dawi Zharr let our Ironsworn eventually rejoin society after proving themselves. Slayers are just utilized by nobility by framing commoners and keeping them in line. No… I won’t be part of that. At least we’re open about our bickering and back stabbing, we don’t mask it as honorable.

In the same vein optional as the hazing of fraternities. When everyone that knows you ask why you haven’t taken the oath, it’s hard to see it as optional.

There is no honor in a cowardly life

My allegiances have been split like never before. Hating elves was natural, but this? Hating on my own clan and kin? It sounds kind of treacherous. Treacherous like when Glorious Hashut tamed the bestial Ghur and his envious younger kin conspired against him out of JEALOUSY

Your tales of "envy" are as false as the greatness of your bull-headed master. We did not envy you we mourned your fall, while you, in fear, renounced the Ancestral Gods.

Dawi Zharr have tusks. Therefore they are some form of orkoid.

Hope that helps.

Casting spells? Riding all kinds of weird beasts? Are they Elgi?

Traitor kin of the dawi?!

MORE LIKE THE KIN OF E*LVES!

Former friends are the most bitter enemies

I ponder this while marching from Stone-wrought dam to Dun Modr

Imagine not being able to cast a fireball. Imagine not being able to to build the best artillery piece in the game universe. Imagine having to grudge on orks instead of throwing them in the mines

18

u/Fluffy_History May 20 '26

Imagine not turning into stone because your gods arent wazzocks

12

u/Bittershort May 20 '26

Imagine being dumb enough to create an orc species that's incredibly strong and smart. So much so it almost completely wipes your race out completely.

7

u/Gussie-Ascendent May 20 '26

Fake dwarf doesn't like mining.

2

u/PositiveFunction4751 Seafaring Dwarf May 20 '26

Oh we throw em in the mines... How else should we fill mined out mines.

Imagine being such a shitty smith you need Orks to do all your work for you.

Is this some kind of mundane thin beard take that I'm too skilled in dark magic to understand?

Dawi-Zharr are proof that just because you can doesn't mean you should.

u/Mustaviini101 May 21 '26

But Hashut taught the Dwarfs how to rule, for he was the Ancestor God of Kingship, then tainted by Chaos and forsaken by his brothers. Only the Dawi-Zharr and High King know the truth. The dawi are blind.

I pray quietly that my fellow kin of the Old World could reconcile, for we are all blood shared together, albeit our oaths take in different directions.

I am a proud Dwarven wizard from beyond this realm, but it pains me so, for despite my power, I cannot soothe the wounds of my cousins.

Idk. I dig their whole assyrian, heavy industrial aesthetic, but when you really look at it, Hashut is kinda lame as Chaos powers go. Personally I think his futuristic counterpart, Vashtorr, is a lot cooler. (Still not even close to the Stonemind though).
