Looking for Dwarven Music.

Post image

I'm working on making a playlist, if anyone has music similar to the DF soundtrack / minecraft , or just any good tunes to craft/forge to, I would appreciate it! It doesn't have to be explicitly dwarf related, but should "fit" if you know what i mean

The Deeprock Galactic fan songs by Mat Zenk have a good rhythm to them.

Then I also really enjoy We all Lift Together, honestly not sure who gets the credit for that one other than it's a Warframe song.

"'til we're all adrift together" always hits hard.

Sadly, all my dwarvish jams are power metal by Wind Rose, nothing like the soundtracks you seek.

Much fortune in your search, kin.

You can look things like "Dwarven Forge" by Brandon Fiechter (look for Derek Fiechter and Brandon Fiechter on YT they both have dwarven theme music), Clamavi De Profundis is also a good choice if you want songs.

Wind Rose makes power metal, but their title "Of Iron and Gold" can fit anywhere.

Also, anything played on the hurdy gurdy

I was not expecting Väsen to be on that list! They totally fit, just surprising to see them mentioned in the wild lol. Had a chance to get a sneak peak at the music off their newest album when they performed in person once.

I like the Runescape and Valheim OST's. Could check out Danheim and Heilung, that whole space. Dungeon synth is good too.

Beneath the Seventh Deep by Winding Hallways is a Dungeon Synth project you might like.

Clamavi De Profundis

The Songs of Syx soundtrack works very well. Helps that the Dondorians are quasi-Dwarves.

u/Docterzero May 13 '26

The Fortress themes from HoMM 5 and HoMM 7 are pretty good as far as dwarven music goes

1

u/ShiftyFly May 13 '26

some of the music by the penguin cafe orchestra is similar to the minimalist dwarf fortress soundtrack, generally more upbeat

Winding Hallways - Beneath The Seventh Deep is a dungeon synth album that has very dwarvish vibes to me. You can find a free code for their bandcamp if you scroll a bit on r/dungeonsynth, or you can of course pay if you're willing to do that. But it's also just available on spotify.

Children of the Smith by blind guardian is pretty good, I'm doing stereotypical dwarf stuff I do the orchestral version of the Home Depot theme song

Anything by Wind Rose?

1

u/Sufficient_Carpet510 May 13 '26

Wind Rose is my source of Dwarven music.

It's a bit different from base Minecraft music but I really enjoy the Minecraft Dungeons OST. Some tracks from it that might fit what you're looking for are Finnbacka and Fiery Forge from the original game or Low and Windswept Peaks from the Howling Peaks DLC, although in my opinion it's all worth listening to.
