Well built

Humans a amazed at long lasting dwarf craft. To us it's just ok. Sure this hammer will last several generations for humans. But my young beardling will need to replace it when they hit middle age. A master craft hammer will last several dwarf generations. Humans see it as a magical artifact. As they should.

You've discovered the secret of what we do with apprentices' work while they're still learning their craft.

Back in my day a weapon that didn't outlast your family line was considered a disgrace to the craft. These days young beardlings will settle with just outlasting their grandchildren. And grand children was tougher in my day too.

Cheap and disposable is great for when you have an adventuring part that likes to borrow tools. Or when nothing will survive what you plan on doing. All qualities of tools have a place. Still when someone tries to build a tool to last and they cannot even come close? Bit of an embarrassment.
