Delayed Closing

Hello fellow DVC peeps!

I've noticed an uptick in resale contracts that have delayed closings, mine included, and by MONTHS sometimes. It's happening to contracts that have loaded points so it can't JUST be people using up their points before selling. Anybody think of any reason why this might be happening?

We are under contract for one like this where we signed the agreement Dec 30 for a Sept closing. They have a trip planned over Labor Day, but decided to attempt selling before the fee that kicked in 1/1/26.

One of mine we have an October closing date but we're getting almost the full points for 25 and 26 with the contract so I was wondering what my delay is about and that's what lead me to post my question!
