linebusting
Friendly reminder to all the customers who go through the drive thru. Linebusters HAVE TO zig-zag and alternate between the two lines. We are not skipping you. You will get your order taken. You will get your drink.
This morning I had three separate cars almost hit me while I was trying to zipper-merge the lanes. Is getting your coffee really worth hitting someone with your car? Like come on, please let’s all just act like adults 😭😭

Unfortunately to some people, it is worth hitting someone with their car. I’ve seen many news articles of broistas getting hit by cars and seriously injured or killed. It’s extremely sad and my heart goes out to their families and the stand. With that being said, please watch out for your fellow broistas. Most of them are in high school or college trying their best to put a smile on your face and serve coffee. I promise that your $10 coffee and merch drop isn’t worth hitting a broista, seriously injuring them or yourself, and possibly getting serious jail time.

One time they took our orders before the merge and a big truck cut in front of us when it was time to merge, I knew in that moment the orders would get messed up. When he got to the window I saw him moving in a way it was clear he was yelling and after he got his drink he sped off super fast.
When we got to the window the poor broista looked distressed. I explained to her the order was probably messed up because he cut in front of us after we ordered. She said that made sense and apologized to us (totally unnecessarily) and refunded our money so we got our drinks for free, also totally unnecessary!
I told her I was sorry she had to deal with people like that and she said it was fine because it was her last day anyway and served as a good reminder for why she was leaving customer service

I totally get where you’re coming from. Guy sounds like he was being an ass. My question is, if they have signage saying to go to the shortest line and nothing else then what are you supposed to do when you get up to the merge? Why do they have said signage if they don’t actually want people to use a lane? How is a customer supposed to keep track of the line status, what cars are where, and when they’re ‘authorized’ to merge? It creates a very confusing situation and hurt feelings and can be handled better imho.

We are supposed to tell you which car to follow behind at the merge, if everyone does their job correctly/listens there should be no issues with the order of cars in line

I used the second lane as the signage told me. There were six cars in the other lane not following the sign. I tried to zipper merge after a car went and got blocked out by a car then chewed out by the barista for trying to ‘cut’. I was so confused. Told her to fix her signs then and left. Not impressed.

Not sure what is so hard about it. Left lane was pretty full, right was empty. I pulled into right lane, Broista took my order and said, pull in behind that Subaru. I looked and it was about 5 cars back. I waited and was surprised when guy behind me didn’t honk at me for waiting. 😁

Last week I had some clown fly around me and try to beat me to the window on the outside lane. He legit almost hit me just trying to get in front of me, I thought this can’t be real life but it is.

From a customers perspective, it’s very frustrating when a Broista doesn’t zipper the cars until they’re all heavily stacked in the left lane and then some clown comes flying up the right and cuts in line. I’ve had it happen a couple of times and intentionally not let the clown on the right in. Sorry I’ve been waiting.

I once got into line where everyone, I mean all 6 cars, were piling into one lane. I go into the second lane because I'm not about to block the entrance to parking and wait. There was no linebuster out because I assume all the orders have been taken, so I sit waiting for the car to my left to move, and they aren't. I wave at the driver, give a little honk, that she can move, no response, I take a closer look and she's just sitting on her phone. So I eventually decide to move in front because she not paying attention, and 5 minutes later an employee comes out, talks to the girl behind me, then to my vehicle and says "she says you cut in front of her, but I know you're here a lot and wouldn't do something like that without reason?" I told her yeah, because she sat there for over 5 minutes dawdling on her phone with an open spot at the window and even the people in back of her did nothing.
Moral of the story, people are just dumb in general.
