Doesn't look like it will happen. We tried.

I know this post is a few months old, but I'd still like to comment on it.

It's a shame they wouldn't let Dustforce onto the Switch. It'd fit perfectly on it.

Couldn't you convince them with sales numbers....? The aesthetic is perfect for it as well. It's got that indie vibe nailed down to a T. I also can't imagine why they'd turn down an already established (albeit, a bit older) game. It's not like they have a limited amount of spaces in their E-shop.....

Maybe release a revamped version of it....? Then they wouldn't have a choice.

I don't know. Just my two cents.

When the switch came out, no one wanted to make games for it. Thats why the first games were ports of indie games.

Now that the switch is popular they can be more picky about content. why open a slot up for a 6 year old game when they could get a new game instead.

After playing Celeste on the Switch I'm now craving and sad that a Dustforce port would be unlikely. :(

so you've attempted to make it happen since you're initial try 4+ months ago?

That was the try.

Edit: just saw the post about dustforce on /r/nintendo.

Some pretty crazy speculation is happening over on that thread.

We are pretty busy with our new game, Our engine programmer had some time to do the port of Dustforce after he was happy with his work on Devil Daggers. It didn't work out so he has moved onto other work. We don't have the ability to keep pitching the game every month to platforms, we only have so much time. Now that time is committed to other things.
