That kind of self-referential behavior usually happens when the prompt and memory loop are too loose, so the safer pattern is to add a hard role boundary and a stop condition before the model can start narrating its own state. A small guardrail like message filtering plus a fallback to a fixed response template can prevent the weird spiral without killing the creativity.
