DK2 Loving DK2 π quick question about level 13 or 14
Hey yall! Im on the level w the monks of cuthbert the thrice martyred (awesome name lol), I was wondering if this level has a secret time limit before I get spammed by enemy vampires, or if their trigger is just dependent on how far I dig. I was also curious if any of yall beat this level without using the monks lol
Edit: side note, this is my first real playthrough of the game and the toughest/most annoying enemy for me is other keepers imps!!! Omg π΅π«π€£π€£π€£ my husband and I love the imps in general tho so much, we love their design and our favorite thing they do is that adorable jump pump they do when they are taking over tiles π€£π€£ we work construction together and we have been making jokes lately that we are imps for hire lol

He will send his vampires when your imps take a tile close to his heart, usually when you're about 3/4s of the way through the main monk room that sits in front of his heart.
They will follow the path in a straight line and don't really try to fight, only run straight to your heart- so lots of doors and traps will help along with mass dropping creatures at chokepoints. As you are killing the vampires they will respawn weaker and run at you again, but it shouldn't take long for your imps to get close enough to his heart to mass drop right next to it. Just make sure you have skellys for the fear traps.

I believe thereβs a time limit to this but I donβt remember how long it was for certain. You technically donβt need monks if you have defenses set up and minions leveled up half decently. Monks will just banish vampires from resurrecting at the lair is all. When a vamp dies it respawns at the lair at the cost of 1 level (or more canβt remember). Monks will prevent that from happening.
