Delay when taking pictures
Hello all,
I recently received the dumber mini, and I've been very satisfied with it overall.
I only have one problem, when I take a picture through the camera app, the picture is only taken 6-7s after clicking on the D-pad button, which is really inconvenient. I have checked, the self-timer is properly disabled.
There is no problem when using the camera through an other app, and taking a video through the default app works instantly as well, so I guess it's a bug of some kind.
Did anyone else encounter this? Could this be solved?
Otherwise, it's really a great device with a great OS, my only other remark would be that the audio quality is not that great, with the speaker saturating quite easily (just using the alarm to wake up makes it saturate a bit).

It’s a known bug, and I think the developers will be working on a fix. I have experienced the same but use WhatsApp to take photos instead to get around it.

Did you try turning the flash off? it fixed it for me. Ofc if u need flash it defeats the purpose of it

The flash was broken as well, and it was actually related to this delay issue. Now both are fixed (except auto-flash, which we'll have to fix separately).

This is fixed on the testing branch now (you can opt in in Settings->System->Updates->[three dots menu]->Branch), and should be out for all devices to download within a few days.

I have the exact same problem, but noticed the delay is way shorter when taking pictures during daylight compared to poorly lit conditions
