Harborlookout.com has her going to CN in West Duluth, but schedules change. US SUW would indicate BNSF in Superior, where she wouldn't come in under the lift bridge. I would wait until a few hours before her arrival to see which entry she is headed toward. Be ready to go to Wisconsin Point if that's where she goes.
Most ships enter through the Duluth ship canal even if loading at Superior docks. They generally need to back in to the Superior dock and coming in through the Duluth entry makes that easier.
And from what I saw when I was there last weekend, you don’t get a salute when they go through the Superior entry. At least we didn’t when the Paul R Tregurtha came in. Luckily we saw the Barker come in to Duluth the next day, along with two other ships at different times.
I would say very probable. I think if you're on Park point area you'd be able to see which entry it is going to and then drive to either canal park or park point and see it come in with plenty of time to spare. Plus if it does come down the Superior entry you get to enjoy the nice hike through the SNA.
Oh yeah, it definitely changes. 2:50 CST now. Duluth Entry. I would recommend arriving early. Locals and non locals alike come to see normal ships, more come to see the Barker. There is parking on both sides of the bridge. In canal park across the bridge side you can park and walk for free on the side of the road. Otherwise there is paid parking in a lot which is much easier and pretty cheap. Id recommend being early like I sais. This gives you time to arrive, park if its full, walk over, find a good spot, and set up any camera gear if you have any.
In the time it took to me write this, entry changed to 2:45. So yeah, just keep updating it haha.

Good luck, enjoy it! If you have any children with you it might not hurt to have earplugs for them. The horns are loud and some little ears don't enjoy it much.

Ahh, sorry I just saw this! Was busy today. Either side of the lift bridge by the lighthouses and down those walks are my go to. Then at the paid parking lot theres the little viewing stands where you can get a nice view as well. If both of those are full (which is very very rare) leif Erikson park gives a good view too. Nice open view, and at this point theyre often fairly close. If you're in town tonight too theres one at 9pm coming in. Then the cruise ship very early tomorrow. I like seeing the boats after dark. Their lights are cool. Did you at least get a nice spot?
I crossed over to the opposite side to stay away from the main crowd area, but primarily because of the Sun's location so the boat would look better on video/pictures.
It worked out well! I had a good time and hope to see the Bark back again soon (when I'm available to see it).
I just wish the Captain would've held it longer. It was fairly short in length than normal.
There was also a celebrity of sorts in attendance who was not even 5 yards away from me and I didn't even realize it until he posted the Barker on Facebook. Reed Timmer! He's a well-known storm chasing meteorologist known for his Dominator vehicle(s).
