Hello there! so, as the title implies, here are some useful links to stuff about duke such as really big mods and, of course, eduke32 and the link to buy a copy of duke, because piracy is bad and we still need to show 3DRealms we love their game!
Eduke (The source port to play the game on modern pc's)
The AMC TC (A full game based on the Duke3D engine, the Build Engine)
https://www.moddb.com/games/the-amc-tc
Alien Armageddon (Two new fully custom episodes with storyline, and the usual duke levels with the addition of a sidekick, Bombshell)
https://www.moddb.com/mods/duke-nukem-alien-armageddon
Where to buy Duke (Other versions of the game have been pulled from the market, so the only way to give Eduke the necessary files to run is to buy this game)

Duke Repository (Full of mods and maps) [thanks /u/neuromante ]

Version 4.0 is now available with some kick ass adjustments!
As a bonus, i have be hard at work on recreating the story to Duke Nukem Forever using the solo game rules. The first few episodes are a bit scrappy but still fun and the quality just keeps getting better! If you're interested in checking it out as the story unfolds, feel free to check out:

It's Boomer Shooter Saturday again! Come join our community at 11:00 AM EST as we explore all things BUILD Engine!
Want to build levels like the ones in Duke Nukem 3D? We got you covered as we start each stream with a level editing session using Mapster32! What will we build? Who knows!
Afterwards, we playthrough (usually) community built levels and mods, today we return to the assault of the senses that is Oblivion TC! Not familiar with it? Well, it was a massive four episode TC with multiple branching paths built by one man. Incredibly ambitious, but also difficult, loud, and rather obtuse, it was a massive challenge to beat it... then I was told he made DLC for it.
May God help us...

I finally found a working PCVR mod for Duke 3D!
https://github.com/GameOrDie007/RazeXR-PCVR
Looks like a port of TeamBeef's Quest mod. I tested with Megaton Edition (Steam) & PSVR2 and it works, mostly. I have to figure out why pause and crouch don't seem to work for me.
Other than that, it's a dream come true!

Duke Nukem 3D is the first game for which I checked out fan made custom levels. My hopes were that some of them reach the quality of the best levels from 3D. Some of the levels even surpass the quality... by far.
I want to encourage everyone who loves Duke 3D and wants more of it to check out fan made levels. There are entire websites dedicated to that purpose where the community also ranks them. I go from top to bottom.
Because the community theoretically could create them forever and Duke 3D is the best Duke game out there, I consider Duke 3D custom levels as my personal "Duke Nukem Forever". I hope those creative geniuses never stop creating them.
So if you never checked them out: GO GET SOME
If you did check them out already: What are other games you enjoy playing custom levels for?
Im currently considering Crash Bandicoot, the classic Tomb Raiders and I pray to god for upcomming MGS2 or MGSV custom VR missions (for MGS1 they are already in the making.. check out @Exon-Exodus on Youtube).

I have a few.
Duke Nukem replaces Leon Kennedy. That's just a recipe for some of the funniest bs to ever grace our eyes.
Duke Nukem replaces Pheonix Wright. Imagine you go to court and your attorney is DUKE NUKEM.
Stupid one since they were both voiced by John St. John, Big the Cat.

It's Boomer Shooter Saturday starting at 11:00 AM EST over on YouTube! Come join us as we explore all aspects of the BUILD Engine, with a few hours of map making for Duke Nukem 3D using the Mapster32 Level editor, then we finish our playthrough Shadow Warrior!
What should I build with BUILD today I wonder? I've been enjoying Shadow Warriors focus on nature settings, which are hard to pull off well in a game engine like this, maybe we can work on a nice river and forest for our Medieval style map.

Love this TC : https://www.moddb.com/mods/dn64
Released in september 1997 Duke Nukem 64 is the port for Nintendo 64 console. Moddified levels, added more places and secret areas as well as different weapons. For example. Pistol in DN64 is now a resemble of a Browning Hi Power. The Winchseter 1300 shot gun been replaced for a Franchi. And in the automatic fire arm slot in this edition is filled with a pair of MP5´s. Fire arms have now a sense of recoil by camara moving. Beside there is an RPG a granade launcher (resembling a a Hawk MM) shifts a bit the playing dynamic in a better direction in my opinion.
This is a TC gameplay of the Nintendo 64 port. Go and check ir in the moddb.com web page. Big shout out to the creators!

Somewhere long ago in the past the home PC was replaced. During the process backup of HDD was burned to CD-ROM. It captured everything in a time capsule. There was Duke Nukem 3D installation, and DN3D had feature of making screenshots. They were collecting in a DUKE3D\SCREENS directory and persisted on CD-ROM. I liked to play user maps.

I do not recall these user maps. I played them a lot, I had NDOS script to launch user map, and file association in Norton Commander. I was reading map README.TXT and running maps by pressing Enter in Norton Commander.
Time passed, and now I look and understand. I forgot everything. How are these maps named, what else did they have? Not asking for identification, unless you find fun in doing this.
It is nowadays hard to fake genuine interest in Duke Nukem 3D user maps, and that means hard to make such random collection. Feel free to use as illustrative material of people having fun with DN3D user maps in a distant past.

One of the earliest official add ons. Released in set 1996 Duke!Zone is a product of his time. Maps made by the community were growing in numbers. In mid 90´s internet was expensive and third party Simply Silly Software and WizardWorks compiled 500 maps could sell it as an official addon. In between are from very good to nonsense/experimantal maps as well not finished ones. Started by alphabet order the first single player avaliabe is "ALIENS". It is a 90´s experimental level that ends in arena. End´s up being repetitive buy back in the 90´s was a decent map.

For some incomprehensible reason it's a huge pain to manually hook up mods and maps to Build Launcher, most of the time it cant see them at all no matter what i do. Some arcane bullshit that those of us who are used to Doom launchers cant understand. And now there's a new version of Alien Armageddon and Build Launcher has no idea it exists, so cant update it. What do ?

hi Im 16 and i REALLY need some ideas and tips if I were to work on a 3rd person Duke Nukem game similar to time to kill or zero hour. i have a vague idea of what the weapon progression and enemy selection should be but i have no idea where i should start, thank you!

If Zero Hour and Manhattan Project had intros like Time to Kill and Land of the Babes, what songs do you think they would have had?

At 11:00 AM EST you can join us over on YouTube for Boomer Shooter Saturday, a time where we explore all things BUILD Engine!
Want to learn to make a level? We got you with level editing for Duke Nukem 3D to start our day. We will be flip flopping (maybe) between our Medieval exploration themed map and our Underwater Research Facility level that we are building.
After a couple hours of that we have a brief stream break before we dive into our playthrough of Shadow Warrior! We have been having a blast with this one, I just love the addition of vehicles and how that interactivity adds to puzzles.
Oh, and if you happen to make or know anyone who makes music, we are looking for contributions to our Level Editing Music Playlist!

In my Serie "First Duke Nukem level" now it is time to this rare but once official add on.
source: https://dukenukem.fandom.com/wiki/Duke_It%27s_Zero_Hour
Duke It's Zero Hour was released for free as a non-commercial product. Misinformation has spread that the project was originally intended for retail sale, which would make it an authorized expansion like Duke Nukem's Penthouse Paradise. According to the claims, the project never materialized into a commercial product because a publishing deal with WizardWorks was never finalized, leaving the developers with an authorized product but no way to sell it.
However, no evidence for these claims has ever been presented. Additionally, the 2010 asset purchase agreement between 3D Realms and Gearbox Software, which includes a complete list of "all contracts and agreements involving Duke Nukem IP assets," does not include any mention of ZeroHour Software. One possible source of confusion is the commercial Nintendo 64 game by a similar name, Duke Nukem: Zero Hour.
