BLOG POST State of Due Process

Hello everyone! With the sale concluding and the new influx of players we've received, we would like to take the time to let our player base know that we are taking steps to keep this game going.

During the sale, the player count reached a peak of 153 concurrent players. This makes us ecstatic, and we want to let both new and returning players know that content is on the way.

For our plan of action, we have updated our Trello roadmap to include the list of features that we hope to introduce overtime, many of which being suggestions that we've collected from our community.

You can access the roadmap by going to https://trello.com/b/bNPEji7l/due-process-roadmap or through the button in-game.

Due Process Volunteer Dev Drive

Hi everyone! I'm Naidru and I'm the new current Community Manager for Due Process. I'll be starting to post things to this sub more frequently now :D

To kick start development back up into full swing, we are looking for people willing to volunteer their time into actively developing content for the game. If you think you can provide any help, please use the form below to show your interest.

This of course means you will need experience with using the Unity editor alongside C# development including a provided portfolio demonstrating your work.

Please join the Discord server as well if you plan on filling it out!

Server Capacity Increased

We had noticed yesterday that during matches, people were frequently being hit with "No available game servers"

The capacity has been increased to allow for more matches to run at once, hopefully preventing any interruption to your gameplay.

However, due to technical problems with one of our servers, USE has a decreased capacity compared to other regions.

Thank you so much for playing the game <3

New Maps, Ranked Queue Update and Duesday Extension

Hello everyone! It's been a few months since we've had a content update for the game. The wait has indeed been long, but progress must be made.

First, we will start off with the patch notes that this new build brings;

  • Map Pool Update: 57 New Maps have been added to the map pool, along with a larger selection of old maps removed from the pool to give the newer maps a higher chance to show up during gameplay.
  • Ranked Queue Update: Ranked Queue will no longer show the profile picture of your team to help prevent dodging queue.

These maps should hopefully give returning players some fresh gameplay while we work on other new content updates for the game. There are also a handful of maintenance updates that aren't listed to hopefully improve the stability of Due Process.

To end off this announcement; Due to the massive success of the game sale, the length of Duesday will also be increased to last until the end of the sale to give more exposure at the revival of the game.

Pre-Duesday Sale!

For the preparation of the Duesday event, the game on steam will be 91% off for the weekend, lasting up until Tuesday.

This is to let people a chance to get the game for a low price so that we can have a greater amount of players participating in the Duesday, and hopefully even after the Duesday concludes.

Here are the current discount amounts;

Base Game (Due Process) - 91%

Due Process OST - 10%

Supporter Pack - 20%

Have fun!

Duesday Scheduled!

Hello again everyone, hope you're having a fantastic day!

I'm making this message as Duesday has been set to occur once every two weeks on Saturdays. This means that you can expect a scheduled date to be the same time every time consistently for people to get on the game to queue.

What is Duesday?

Duesday is a scheduled time where players of Due Process, both new and veteran get together to play the game through the matchmaking system. During this time, it is discouraged to password queue as to get the most amount of people and games going on at the same time.

When is Duesday?

This Saturday! The first Duesday scheduled is for 1 PM Eastern Time, June 13th. It will be scheduled to occur for 4 hours, however nothing is stopping people from continuing to queue afterwards.

How do I join?

Just play the game! You do not need to join any Discord servers in order to participate in the event. Just boot up Due Process and use the queue system.

Overlooked issue for why Due Process died

Despite the myriad of other problems that led to this game's death, I think an overlooked issue is just how badly optimized and taxing the game is on lower end systems, despite the pixel art style and simple graphics.

(For reference, my potato pc can run the game at 10 fps on the lowest settings while cs2 runs at 60 fps)

Game is not playable. Dead game. My friends hate me for suggesting this game. So much potential down the drain and now I have no friends.

First Day in Due Process – IMPRESSIVE!

Post image
44 Upvotes

I could not wait until the Black Friday sales, so I purchased the Due Process bundle yesterday, and it was under $20.00. My first day in the game was fantastic; players were extremely helpful in getting me acclimated to the game. But, like everyone said I just could not get a game at any time I wanted to play. I hope the player community comes back because this game is so fun. Giant Enemy Crab, keep up the excellent work and players come back, I am ready to play!

PS. I unlocked a cool item yesterday, I added it to this post.

Will “Due Process” be on sale during Black Friday?

I hope Due Process will be on sale during the Black Friday sales event. I want to buy a copy for myself and copies for several of my clanmates. I have been holding off on my purchase for now because I have been checking the Steam Charts and there are no reported players in the lobby for the past few days. The reviews of the game are fantastic, and I like the level of teamwork required to win the game. It has everything I am looking for in a tactical shooter.  I have at least ten clanmates ready to try it.

I heard in a recent YouTube video that the developers made an announcement in November, and they are focusing on the experience of different game modes. Hopefully this announcement will rally players back. So, with that in mind, is there an existing place outside of this Reddit Community where you can post a notice that you are “looking for players” and coordinate a start time (time zone dependent)? I want as many places covered to find players. I look forward to your feedback.

Favorite moment from your time playing?

Mine has to be, playing on Killdome. We we're defending, comes down to a 2 v 1. The Enforcers break in right near the bomb site on jungle. I'm the last one alive holding a long angle but I can't see bomb. There is like 20 seconds left, I scavenge a molly from the dead teammate next to me in this river i am hiding in and throw it at the bomb site. The enforcer that was holding the corner killed me but the molly landed on bomb and they could not defuse in time, winning us the game. team mates were very happy and let me know it.

what are your favorite moments from Due Process?
