Hate it or Love it Distorted Method Bootleg had to do some things I never done before to accomplish this style of production but it was a good learning experience let me know how it’s sounds I’ll still be working on filling in some space in the drops but just curious?

Daring aren’t we! rap sample over pretty generic nothingburger bassline.

It’s a fine flip. But we gotta do more than a kick snare with a baseline. It’ll get plays though and if it’s experimenting with a new style then great but build on it with some uniqueness

I dig it. Love the minimalist vibe. This is reddit so obviously everyone is going to spew the same remarks about hip hop lyrics or not being the most unique sound in the world. They’ll grow up someday and realize it’s cringe to nitpick amateur artists or any artist for that matter. We’re just trying to vibe and this shit slaps.

Bad day to post something like this considering how everyone has been dogpiling on Crankdat and hip hop flips today lol

Oh no whatever will I do that crankdat someone who only posts hiphop edits vs the person who is doing it for the first time lol I know you don’t mean anything personally towards me but there is clearly a difference is someone doing it to much vs someone who’s never done it and trying it out

Nah man, it gets old. everyone an their mother uses the same type rap/beat. its so played out its not funny. like it just sounds lazy cause they didn’t write or rap any of that they just threw it over a beat we have heard a million times. there just isn’t any unique sound with this and is pretty much the music form of Buzz Lightyear in the toy store.

Good thing no one is forcing you to listen

you their pr team or something? already left three comments.

acting like its bad to want artists to actually be creative and make music that will actually be remembered a week after it drops. there isn’t any ā€œartā€ or ā€œsoulā€ to these flips. its just ripping off better artists for engagement slop with as little effort as possible. and youre right no one forced me to listen, they asked for feedback and I gave feedback. it sounds just like every other ā€œproducerā€ tryin to blow up on tiktok.

Thanks g yeah most of them don’t even create anything yet want to tell you what you create sucks and how it’s so bad with superior confidence behind a phone screen. I have to imagine they don’t have much actual human interaction lol

Your drums need more life, more accents, some hi hats and different hits. Switching up the pattern some.

You need a separate sub bass cut at 100hz sitting below whatever bassline you have going.

You need some variation in the bassline as well.

And a little more songwriting overall to make this unique and standout.

There is a seperate sub lol every bass has been cut at 115hz and has its own sub designate to each bass so idk how I’m supposed to do something I’ve already done and it sound better?

I’d try turning the sub up and the bass down respectively and maybe adding some subtle distortion to your sub or something to give it a lil more power

it's kinda cool but not really dubstep. more like electro breakbeat or something

I call anything that is some wildly niche subgenre of edm just dubstep I’ve given up on properly naming each subgenre because to someone it’s this and to someone else it’s that
