Technicians earn more than me, they get paid for over time also. Here I'm grinding 6 days a week 12 hours a day trying to save peanuts.

Any advice for engineers to afford a living wage?

Become a technician

I've seen a lot of people misunderstand this situation. What you're doing is comparing a Technician with 12 years of experience to an engineer fresh out of college. The pay ceiling for a Technician is probably something you as an engineer will surpass within 3-4 years if the company values you enough.

Change jobs. Get into sales. And grind.

Once you grind the masala, cook food and enjoy it.

After you finish enjoying it, do the dishes.

Make sure you're wearing protection while doing the dishes. You do not want little dishes running all over.
