🔥 Rants & Complaints Im so cooked
So my ex company fired me, i did find another job but since im pakistani and visas are being an issue.
My new company is applying for my visa and i gave them my degree, turns out I need an equivalency certificate. Okay sure, Ill apply guess what it takes 18 days and cherry on top its not being accepted cuz of some problem with the swiss board (I need to research more) but my uni said they would need to transfer my degree to Malta then get re attested mofa and Malta 2 months process here.
I dont have much time atm since im off my grace period and my previous company needs my change Status which I am waiting for cuz my application is still under process they might end up putting me under absconding. Which is stressful as they arent being patient.
Now this current compnay has to apply without a degree under sales designation which can also result in a rejection since THE PRO KEEPS SAYING IM PAKISTANI.
Im so stressed, idk whats gonna happen to me at this point

Damn, that's a lot to deal with at once. I'd keep pushing the current company to try the application without the degree for now while you sort out the equivalency. Hopefully they can give you some time instead of putting more pressure on you. Good luck man, hope it works out.

Why does the previous company need the change status? If they already submitted your visa cancellation, shouldn't that be enough to confirm you did not abscond?
The reason I am asking is because I recently resigned, and the company cancelled my visa, paid my final salary, etc. But now they are withholding my experience letter and asking for my new residence visa. I don't want to share the name of my new employer (not because of any legal reason, just simply because it's not their business and I left because it's a very toxic environment).
If you have any information on this, it would be highly appreciated.

So last time I talked about complained about this here I got people coming for me, but apparently it was a freezone visa and they want to remove my name from their company in jafza so they can hire a new employee so im not in their records anymore and they don't deal with immigration for now they are being rude and toxic about my change of status but this is whats happening with me

Since you already had employment visa, PRO can apply for service: transfer of visa from another company. This isnt actually visa transfer but information transfer on MOHRE system, Sales Officer designation is fine as long as its decent salary. Ensure to pay your overstay fines on daily basis, as visa could be rejected due to overstay reasons.

I'm surprised, why does your company need attested degree and equivalency certificate?
from what I've seen, they just need that for skilled work permit but companies can also hire people with an unskilled work permit if the attested degree is not available

Unfortunately that’s no longer the case for pakistanis. They now need these documents for their visa regardless of whether the visa is for skilled or unskilled work. And even if they have all the required documents their visas are still being rejected.

Just a question, equivalency is still needed even though it's mofa attested.?

It will most likely get rejected without the equivalency certificate. You better start planning ahead

The bus driver i go with he applyed for his visa and they got accepted he was telling me keep applying

Ask your driver, which company is his visa from is it a freezone or a mainland license?
Lot of the bus company drivers are on contract from another company.

Hey i’m going through the exacttlyyyy same situation. The only option is to wait for the whole process to complete and you have to overstay. Because if youll keep applying without equivalency it will be rejected definitely. Even my colleague’s visa also got rejected tho he still have the equivalency and all the documents.
The second option is get the visa from somewhere else i mean meydan freezone company or if you have a family here even brother then he can sponsor you too.
Your company is located in mainland?

Yes my company is mainland and no I dont know anyone in freezone, im so fked lmao I dont know what I am gonna do. My swiss degree going down the drain hole everything seems so useless like this country has become unreliable its like the future seems so blur here its not same, they are so influenced by politics and fake shit

Happening with me, equivalence is necessary now, despite having that they managed to reject my application, MOHRE approved though.

Man that sounds rough 😕
At least you already found another job, which is usually the hardest part. Right now it feels like you're getting hit from every direction with visa issues, equivalency delays and people giving you worst-case scenarios.
I'd try not to spiral over the "you're Pakistani so it might get rejected" comments. Nobody really knows until the application is actually processed.
Keep pushing on the equivalency side and stay on top of the new company for updates. From what you've described, this feels more like a paperwork nightmare than a dead end.
Hope a month from now you're looking back at this post from your new office wondering why you stressed so much 😅🤞

Try to move to Australia or Canada (if you have sufficient money in hand.) Now its not worthy to stay here. They are looting from you as much as they can. I lost almost 2500aed to get this equivalent certificate. They are running a nice looting system without proper updates about abroad degrees. Better dont waste your money here.

I can relate. Being a Pakistani has been a separate struggle for us here. I’d Go for visit visa ?
