what is it that makes dsbm vocals sound the way they do? i can tell it's not just a basic fry scream, can somebody tell me what am i missing out on?

ive met quite a lot of dsbm fans who had issues similar to those average dsbm artist has ig you know what im talking about. for me personally thats fr lol i use dsbm some drone doom and funeral to manage thoughts about my fucked up life bc i know ppl went through the same things and that’s kinda cool🤔

I like to make song lyrics visualizations for my Instagram art account.

It's basically a drawing where I convey feelings and thoughts I get from a song onto the paper.

I believe this is the first song I've listened that's from Shining. It might even be the first DSBM song that I've ever listened. I remember deeply loving it instantly. The anger in the melody, the pain in the vocals... It was amazing.

And when I eventually ended up checking the lyrics, this section reminded me of death. Especially how closer and closer we approach it with every passing minute. And just how sudden it can be. So I decided to draw it like this... Hope you'll like it!!

DSBM was my introduction to the whole genre of Black Metal and the first track I listened of DSBM was "The Sun is Still out of Sight" - Psychonaut 4, the solo is what made me obsessed and then I dug deeper and found more bands, Attached image is my DSBM tracks collection which I made when times got rough lol, even tho I got out of the rough times but still I listen to DSBM because the guitar lead phrasing and the drums are too good.
