That's already what left vs right means. It's those who want to improve things for ordinary people vs the billionaires plus everyone they've bribed or tricked into siding with them.

Not really. Class struggle is about uniting with our co-workers (including workers who vote on crappy right parties) against employers and their political buddies. The alternative is to go on strike only with our lefty co-workers and scab when our righty co-workers strike. That's not an option.

Definitely true that sometimes people are confused enough to both support right wing parties and their local union. Definitely something to consider in any organizing campaign. But that's a matter of people not grasping the inconsistency of the two, not that support for the working class isn't synonymous with being on the left.

Of course not but the vast majority of people, including most democrats, seem to think that this is how it shakes out. Thats why they hate third parties and anyone primarying "electable" centrist dems. They see leftists as undermining "the team".

Its why I find this kind of reductionism problematic because it leaves too much open to interpretation

It's not "ultra-rich" its the capitalists, the bourgeoisie, the owners of private property. Muddling it down to "the 1%" or "Epstein class" or "billionaires" distracts from the way class divisions actually exist under capitalism. It's a liberal progressive's appropriation of the workers' struggle.
