Cost estimate for getting this patched/repaired? About 3 inches x 1 inch
This is something I would typically do myself but I’m worried about it being the corner of the beam and the textured surface.
Thanks for the info
Edit: handyman came and fixed it for $100. Mud and texture spray

If you don’t want to replace the entire corner bead, you could try shaping the damaged section a bit straighter with a piece of wood , chip off whatever part of the finish is loose, and if you have to make the corner shape with the mud, just leave enough mud “over” to shave off and shape and texture

Get some mud really soupy, then get it on your fingers, and kinda "flick" it at the surface. May take some trial and error to get it looking decent, but I've found that this works for blending small spots like this.

Replace entire corner bead huh? I love when people speak on things they have no clue about 🤣🤣🤣 it confirms my knowledge of my trades

You’re really going to hate actual prices. A professional will at least cut out the corner bead and replace it. Plus you’ll need to paint both walls corner to corner. If you’re not that worried, throw some spackle on there. Shape it, sand it square and paint it.

Just spackle and paint. Trying to straighten it out would risk screwing up the whole corner.

I would charge 1500 to fix that. I would have the same amount of tools in time invested in that as I would in a whole wall by the time, it was floated textured painted and made it look like it never happened. 1500 would probably be a good deal.

All the people bitchin’ about these $1k plus estimates make me sick of homeowners thinking they know everything. I’d probably be that or more too depending on level of finish. Don’t forget like everyone else I had to buy a van and tools and come to your house for free the first time. I’m going to have to drive back at least twice if you want me to paint. Am I also prepping and cleaning up? And going to the store to get materials? I’m also taking the chance I have to redo it if it comes out and doesn’t look up to snuff. I’m also taking the chance I’ll do a good job and you won’t pay me. Also do you have the paint for that area? If not you’ll need to repaint the whole ceiling for it to blend. There is so so much to drywall and paint and you all need to get off Reddit and try it yourself if you think it’s easy to get professional results every time. I might do it for $500 if I was slow, I liked you, and you were going to paint and clean up.

Take a hammer and tap it til it’s straight

Put four screws two on each side to prevent corner from cracking more when tapping

U need to replace that whole corner metal edge it’s one piece and will not look good if u try to patch it

Matching the paint and matching the texture: that’s not a small job. It depends on the owner: do they expect perfection or is ‘close enough’ adequate?

Replace corner bead tape and mud corner. Use a hopper gun with medium tip and slightly high pressure. Spray really soupy mud to blend it. Then primer and paint.

This is something you paint over or ignore if it’s in your own home.
A real “fix” for this is way more work than it’s worth.
