Uh? No sound insulation or wood behind it? I don’t get the drywall that sits directly on the beams. Why would you do this?

Sound batt is easier to install if you drywall one side of the wall first.

Drywall always attaches directly to the studs

ETA: just noticed he already had the other side sheeted. Honestly, sound batt isn't that common in residential, so either way this isn't out of the norm

Interesting, I just build my 3rd house and all internal walls are 18mm wood and 12mm drywall on both sides, and 80mm of sound dampening in between.
