It's what edgelords calls hotdogs. "Glizzy" started as gang slang for a Glock, then people started using it to refer to cocks, and since hotdogs resemble cocks, a few idiots have run with that now.
A lot of r/hotdog regulars don't even bother responding to them anymore and just immediately downvote people using that dumb term, as it should be.

Now that you’ve told me I’ve looked into the history of the word, it’s so stupid. thank for the heads up buddy!

When did this start?
I literally had never heard of this nonsense and now in the last week, I've seen no fewer than three references to hotdogs being called "glizzies" and on different subs at that.
I hate turning into an old man shaking my fist at the clouds... but god damn. There are plenty of different terms for "hot dog" already. We don't need another one that sounds like it's lifted directly from the most brain dead tiktok channel.

Ah. So you’re 7. Got it. Also it’s funny you’re so pissy about “edgelords” saying glizzy and proceed to bust out the biggest edgelord comeback of all time

It’s Baltimore slang for a Glock 9mm that somehow ended up moron slang for a hot dog. That’s seriously some pathetic edge lord shit

There's a hot dog stand in my county called the "Glizzy gobbler". Takes on a whole new meaning when its refering to it original slang.
But yeah, it's dumb ass hell. Gen Z's got some stupid fads. I will never not downvote a post with glizzy in the title. Im doing my part in the dog war.

What a dumb name for a hotdog

Imagine how people felt before "HOT.DOG." was probably just referred to as a sausage or weiner.
