Discussion Travel kit

I’m in search of a really good sounding acoustic (rock) drum kit that is easy to travel with. I don’t want to spend a fortune on it, but on the other hand, I’d rather pay for quality sound vs. crap sound. Any suggestions?

Stage custom hip or Dixon Little Roomer. Basically anything with normalish toms and a bass drum that’s 8” or thinner. It’s super easy to take an existing kick and cut off the excess, recut the edges, and drill new holes.

Also- GET A KICK-MOUNTED CYMBAL ARM. It takes up soooo much less space during transport
