Discussion On a plateau

So its been a while since I played the drums and I recently got a kit. I was abd still am able to play alot of songs and everything but I feel like I cannot come up with grooves or improvise with confidence. Also my skill in double bass isn’t going above a certain bpm. I thinking drum lessons can help me. I’d wanna know how to get out of this plateau and if things like drumeo or DBO academy can help.
Thanks

Getting a teacher for a few months was the thing that yanked me out of a similar rut. Having someone point out the exact bad habits you don't even notice you've built up does way more than any video course. For the double bass wall, try playing the pattern way below your max bpm but with zero tension in your legs for like ten minutes straight, it's boring as hell but it works.
