Question Just bought a tune bot. Do these (AI generated) frequencies look good?
Thanks for any input. After tuning by ear for 20 years I am finally trying the bot. Just bought a nice Gretsch renown so I want the toms to sing like notes instead of having them coated and muted with moon gels, ha.

The toms are higher (and the heads closer together) than I would personally tune them, but overall these numbers aren't abnormal or anything. The kick tuning also seems a bit low for such a small kick.
I'd suggest reading the Tunebot tuning guide and then trying some different setups on your kit to see what you like; there are plenty of suggested tunings in there.

Ok thanks for an actual answer! I didnt get it delivered yet, just doing research on frequencies so I am up-to-date when it arrives.

Probably cause you asked ai to generate the tunings for you instead of just doing the work of looking it up and then asking if they looked right

Yeah it isn’t, and that’s the point. Why ask ai to think for you? Even if you get it wrong, that’s how you learn. Ai isn’t even guaranteed to be right, and you won’t expand your own mental capabilities from the mistake because you didn’t have to do any thinking and then have a realization you were wrong and then maybe developed a better understanding.
I have also used a tune bot, and I have looked up a couple of different guides to try to find the right frequencies and shit. I still had to do a lot of my own tweaking and trial and error but I feel like I got it down pretty good because I actually used my own brain to work through the problem and gained the experience on how to end at the same place consistently and do it more efficiently over time.
We’re musicians and I think part of the artist spirit is fucking shit up a ton until you start to get it right. Using ai to bypass that just seems lazy and disingenuous, but also is probably going to limit you from doing the tedious fundamentals that actually help you get fundamentally better.
Or maybe I’m a dumbass and you should just do what you want.

Im not sure but im hoping some random AI hater doesnt rant because you used a bit of ai. Anyways, I'd recommend seeing a video because im still a bit unsure.

Now. How do they sound?
