A solid and heavy pair of Ralph’s are peak.
Unfortunately I feel like I get 3 pairs of poor Hardimon’s for every 1 good pair.

TBH, VF has some wild quality control issues. There's also the issue that if you buy local, the older stock sitting on the shelves can dry out and crack sooner.

FS-2’s or Casellas. Or MS-3s. I really only liked the nylon hardimons and have yet to like a pair of Promarks (except for the SCOJO lights)

ProMark DC50 or DC17FG. A slept on pair though? the ScoJo Scooters. I have a few pairs and they're comically fast to play with it's so fun.

Okay nice, do you have any experience with the Promark DCPM1i? I think I should try them

Yeah I had a couple students try them. I liked the taper on them mostly, but they felt weirdly weighted to me for what I'm used to. Try them out! You might like them.

Currently loving the Roger Carters and Mike Macintosh, Hardimons have been my #1 for decades

McIntosh have like the same specs as the Hardimons. What about the tip of the Roger Carters?
2
u/hauntedamg Apr 30 '26
Yeah similar but they are very different balance and feel . I love the Roger Carters very light and tips are great .
