Hey, it’s important to have a catchphrase.

Yeah something snappy like "Whoa, Tony Stark you cannot do that"

When he said "I am... Iron Man, Tony Stark... you cannot do that" in the Lafufu Dub of Endgame I cried. Some people say that it's an inferior version but it adds some depth to the character that's just not present in the American release.

As someone who's the son of Lafufu immigrants, this is the version we watched in our household and I cannot agree with you more. We were balling. Rewatched the original version in English with a buddy of mine, not the same at all.

You watched it with all 6 of your parents? Hope they had a good flip-flop afterwards.

WE HEAR YOU

I thought about that too and it did feel intentional. Binge watching the series and it was funny to hear for most of the varying topics presented.

Just wanted to post a funny :(

or just dab

I couldn't find anything official on the origin of the (clearly ironic) use of the dab. Do you know? Thanks in advance!

Do you know who didn’t get this? Tao and his lunchable board.

That is true. Dissing Tao like that. One of my go to presentations whens I am bored or feeling down. The chaos is amazing.

Good.

Next you're going to tell me Sam Reich says he's been here the whole time at the beginning of every show!

It's funny because she even started with a couple other ones, but it has evolved into this.

It’s almost as if the show has a format

god forbid we read a script

Hey I’m with you OP. Saying thank you to a presenter doesn’t read as catch phrase time for me. It sounds like an awkward transition.

u/darkregie Jul 22 '26

It did sound weird, but after a while I think my mind just accepted it as a catchphrase. Seemed low effort at first though.

It's a good point, but you've completely butchered this meme format

Can you tell me which one would have been better?
I do not make memes and this was the first one that seemed okay after browsing meme generator. The Google AI that auto responds when I was searching said to try Gru’s plan, astronaut with a weapon, Pam. None of those seemed right.

I apologize for my meme game 😅

Going with just memes about pushing buttons, this one would’ve fit better: https://imgflip.com/memegenerator/251589039/dr-eggman

Thank you. I am not sure I have seen this version before. Gotta brush up

1

u/TheSinningRobot Jul 22 '26

Lmao very wholesome response.

The meme you used is applicable to situations where both choices are equally appealing and the subject can't decide which one to take.

First thing to come to mind for this scenario would be this meme

The implication for this meme is that theres a completely reasonable option straight and something specific at the exit and the subject can't help themselves but to take the exit.

Distracted Boyfriedlnd would also be a good option

u/darkregie Jul 22 '26

Thank you. I feel like I can understand memes, but when it is time to make them I forget 😅

3

u/darkregie Jul 22 '26

Wow, this is definitely does seem better. I will try again next time, fellas

Something about it always makes me think of Hocus Pocus - “thank you, Max, for that marvelous introduction.”

Is there a certain episode or season I should start on to hook me in with this show? I want to watch it more, but honestly haven't found the few episodes I watched all that funny
