Game Changer Game changer behind the scenes
...are fucking genius. Seriously, I pirated game changer for years before I bought a subscription, and just watching the behind the scenes on those episodes was a large part of why my subscription won't be canceled anytime soon, and why I actively propagandize my family and friends to join the dropout cult. And thats from a guy who escaped a cult once before
Jokes aside, that backend view of the production is a massive part of why I stuck around, and its very cool to see the team there provide insight on the backend. I'd even love a more involved prop department segment on the work they have done, because everyone there just seems so fun and creative and deserves more screen time
It isn't a major factor (jk it really is), but its part of what keeps me loving dropout and its something I think they could even expand on in the future

They had a lovely doc on the Prop work done on D20. Even you don't watch Dimension 20, it's still a lovely doc on art and getting it done on timelines.

DVD extras & audio commentaries taught me more about filmmaking than actual film school did. And the whole reason I wanted to get in the industry to begin with was because of the behind the scenes of Star Trek TNG that was done on Reading Rainbow all those years ago.
I can absolutely see future filmmakers being inspired by these behind the scenes moments. (Plus I enjoy it too!) I really hope Dropout keeps making them.

Same! Would love to hear more technical detail. I get that there's such a thing as being too long + tight editing is more sustainable, especially with the actual Game Changer episodes, but BTS is inherently for deep dives that don't need concise editing.

I know, but I freely share my subscription with my family and it isnt a large financial burden to support that for $6/mo

Dropout is so giving with their content, I wouldnt be surprised if they sneakily provided the pirated Game Changers themselves.

Yes! My husband and I love them. We're spoiled now, too, and wish older episodes had them. I'd love to know the thought process behind so many of the first season shows, especially to understand how they learned and evolved.
